New Warthog Variant

Personally, I feel that the warthog is one of the best ships available in-game. As such, I'd like to see more variants of it. Currently we only have the TD as a variant, and I wouldn't even consider it as a variant because of the fact that it is a nation specific model. Most other ships have many many variants, such as the Vulture, Centurion, Atlas, Marauder, etc., The warthog unfortunately never had the chance to fall into such a category.
I suggest two new variants of the warthog. One (possibly manufactured by TPG) Elite variant, with the specifications maxed out to a reasonable level (210 top speed, infini-boost, fast turning, more thrust, - similar to the Elite Atlas from TPG) and an entirely new variant with two large ports to make for a lightweight heavy arms platform. This could be made by Corvus, or any other corporation as it doesn't really matter as much.
We could also have another already proposed variant of the Ragnorak designed for bombing where there could be 3 large ports and 2 small, or even (this would be crazy) 4 large ports and 1 small.
But first and foremost I'd like to see the warthog get more variants. Maybe then the Rag could do the same, as it is also one of the abused and malnourished ships :-)

| Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. I don't mean MK variants. I mean a brand new variant produced by a corporation. |

Doesn't the grey hound count as a warthog variant? How about one by Aeolus with built in mark 2 rep gun?
same idea as the Heavy Miner MKII with built in mineral scanner and the new grey hound with built in cargo scanner. Swap the cargo scanner for the rep gun and there U go. |

I hadn't suggested the Hound yet when this thread was posted. But yes, that's a variant.
Your rep gun as a built in feature won't fly, both for balance and for implementation reasons. But a somewhat nerfed version of the Hound, less intercept capability, more armor, no scanner, will be fine for your repair purposes. |
