I made it larger to compensate for the increased cargo hold.besides if there is a "space penis" in this game its the Centaur, which actually looks like a penis.

Lecter, when I see you in game...your opinion will matter.
Sep 16, 2008 Dr. Lecter link
You've seen me, you just aren't aware that it's me that you've seen.

Even if I hadn't been in game, I've played VO far longer than you have and have a better understanding of the balance existing between ships, in combat ability and in trade ability.

So please, offer a more persuasive defense of your suggestion than "I don't think you play enough to comment." If you can.

P.S. I don't know what weird, stubby-shafted tool swings between your legs, but I don't think the Centaur really wins in the space penis category.

I don't debate lawyers. But, "when I see you in game...your opinion will matter." is not a defense, I just return the mutual feelings of disdain you have for me.

Lecter...you just, really are THE most terrifying person in VO...you truly are Becky. The newbs and sycophants do just tremble in thier moon boots at the very thought of the slightest possibility of the very mention of your name. And I'm sure you have read, re-read and memorized everything there is to know about Dungeons & Dragons, Vampire...the perpetual hassle and just about every MMO and RPG since the dawn of human kind or when ever it was that lawyers crawled from the primordial ooze ans some how managed to co-exist with primitive humans. Really Sasha, I know in some circles that a robust knowlage of the vital stats of your favorite dragon and penis jokes counts for something but I honestly have never actually known any...well, aside from you and where as I do not actually count the internet as knowing, as a show of sympathy for you...(the one and only you will ever get from me, Susan...so treasure it)...I will acknowlage it just this one time.

At any rate Sandra, you should be getting the idea by now that I dont care even remotely what you say, think or do. So, just to make things easier for you...unbunch your thong or at the very least switch to a brand of panties that doesnt restrict your blood flow so much, get a new perm or manicure or what ever it is you do to relax. Because unless some kind of incredible, bizzare and very very unforseen tragic circumstance has happened...well Marsha, I will never care about your opinion...which Alice, is over shadowed by your lack of any contributions.

I realize this was a little bit on the long side but, Sabrina...you are in fact a lawyer, so I wanted to make sure that this was long, redundant and repetitive. Just to be absolutely certain that it was in a format that you would understand. Well, Julie...I have a job that actually affects people and the world around me and my pagers going off, so I'm off to work.

Well, Julie...I have a job that actually affects people and the world around me and my pagers going off, so I'm off to work.

The irony of saying that to a NY-based lawyer, at a firm that is (inter alia) GS's primary outside counsel, in the middle of the largest capital markets crisis in U.S. history is . . . simply stunning.

Your rant is too rambling and bizarre to violate your "I don't debate lawyers" rule, but I still think it points to deep-seated issues for which you should seek professional evaluation. Or, maybe you're on acid--seriously, that's a pretty strange (and seemingly unprompted) screed.

For the record, while I liked the fact that one college roommate's obsession with playing D&D late into the night meant I didn't have to sexile him, I have zero experience with RPGs beyond VO--which I think of as more of a FPS anyway :)

ooooh...a pissing contest! goodie.

I carry cutting edge camera gear, a .45 M1911 A and when the situation dictates, body armor. Not to mention a set of credentials and IDs that do the impossible...make lawyers, polititions and other assorted swine actually stop talking and start sweating.

Brought light to the problem of child prostitution in Worc. MA, subsequently causing hundreds of arrests, covered the Alex F. Scesny story five years before he was apprehended. Not to mention in my line of work, the pursuit is truth...which ironically causes me to cross paths with your kind all to often.

Though once again we agree...VO is more a FPS than an RPG, it still causes me pain to agree with you.

I'd mostly be interested in answers to two questions: (i) JHP of choice for the .45, since a beat up USP is my behind the headboard gun, and (ii) how can you possibly be a journalist (of any kind, even a photog) with such atrocious writing, even off the cuff?
Sep 17, 2008 ryan reign link
the M1911 is a classic.

I don't know...it must just be the skill and results I bring with me. Don't worry, Mildred...your life will matter some day...(I'm lying to make you feel better, see...I'm not heartless).

Humans make me sad sometimes.

It's a fine weapon, though no P7. So much for getting a useful ammo discussion out of you. Guess I'll have to get back to helping to clean up this mess, and let you return to . . . taking pictures of Massachusetts criminals.

Well, I suppose I like the .45 ACP becuase it destroys about twice as much tissue as the most common hand gun round out there, the 9mm...which is equal to the least effective .45 ACP. Personally I like the 230 grain ammo, since it gives more consistent penetration.

So, there you have my reasoning for the M1911. I also like the Russian 9mm Torokov, with the right ammo...just because its less conspicuous than an American weapon in certain areas.
Sep 17, 2008 Dr. Lecter link
Ah, sorry, I wasn't being clear. The .45 ACP is the cartridge used--I'm curious as to what specific load you use, since you clearly carry for self defense. I've been using the golden saber in 185gr +P, after seeing it outperform my old 230gr hydrashok in tests and in what most LE that I know prefer.

The .45 vs. 9mm for carry is a whole different debate: I'll just say I carried a P7 back when I carried because if I had to shoot in public, I wanted something I was totally comfortable driving tacks with.

This is about as off topic as we can get, though.

I quit reading this before i could get to the end, but lector said sexile :D !! abd i said penis! what joy!

I usually make/load my own ammo, regular lead hollow points...(if I need to shoot, I dont want to hurt anyone I'm not aiming at.)...but if I buy the rounds I tend to go with Hydra-Shok, Winchester 230 gr. or Black Talon.

For the Torokov I simply use Russian ammo.

Are you sure you did not mean Tokarev? Although, the TT uses 7.62x25. So perhaps you meant the Makarov?

With these, I'd worry about over-penetration when using them as a self-defense weapon; why not use frangible ammunition?
Sep 17, 2008 Dr. Lecter link
Major problem with frangible ammo is that if you hit an appendage, say an arm, you will instantly lose the ability to penetrate into your target's vitals. While it seems easy enough to aim for the center of mass rather than the hands or arms, it's surprisingly easy to hit them if your target happens to be presenting a weapon and firing on you.

Better to use a good jacketed hollow-point. More reliable, still unlikely to overpenetrate your intended target.

This thread has thoroughly gone off into la-la land. Maybe you guys can make an off-topic thread where you can debate Remington vs Winchester vs Black Hills and the theoretical trade-offs of FN's 5.7x28 load.

Here we could maybe talk about.. I dunno, Atlases, or something, or stop talking entirely.

As an aside, Lecter, I had no idea you went to work for our firm, that's kind of a small world. Although I didn't know they had an office in NY either. But maybe I'm misunderstanding and "GS" means something else in this context.

Moving right along..

Ah yes, them. Makes more sense, in reference to the "financial crisis" statement. I might have gotten that, if not for everyone on here calling us "GS" of late.
