45 energy/sec turbo drain with a thrust boost would be fine. The greyhound currently doesn't even out-accelerate an X-1, unless the X-1 happens to be loaded down with unnecessarily heavy weapons. Given its price and intended role, it should be able to run down anything else in the galaxy, including the X-1.

Increasing the turbo thrust and decreasing the turbo drain wouldn't make it any better at a head-to-head fight, so it would still be a dedicated interceptor and would not throw off the carefully-balanced dogfighting ships.

I have to agree with that, but then again the X-1 is bullshit (the synonym to overpowered kind of bullshit, hehe). The greyhound can't fight head on for its own life and the valk models are all the best at speed, turbo drain (might as well be infiboost), and dogfighting. If you've ever heard of the phrase "School, friends, or sleep; pick two," I think that should be the same for fighter-based (exception of support, bombers, and cargo) ships except "Sprint, stamina, or dogfighting; pick two."

So essentially, I agree with you, now, to give a chasing buff to the greyhound assuming it's "sprint and stamina." I guess my dream sprint ship I keep imagining of is "sprint and dogfighting."

Cargo scanner should be, just like the raptor's storm radar, built into the Hound.

I'd actually have to agree with lecter, if any ship should be able to equip a cargo scanner without losing a port, the greyhound is it. While we're at it, maybe a built in blocker for the light moth?

Of course you agree with me. Built in cargo scanner and 45 drain are the best ideas ever. I don't even think the turbo thrust buff is needed.
