Remove Icons Mapped To Controller

Real estate is precious on a 4.7" display of a smartphone. One of the benefits of using a MOGA (or other) controller should be the reduction of distracting icons on the small display. If the function is clearly mapped to the controller, the icon should be removed from the display. This is not always the case (for example, the keyboard used for chat), but in many cases, it is. For example, there are six icons on the bottom, left corner of the screen (4 arrows, a red button and a turbo button [I think...]). Using the MOGA controller, I have never touched these icons on the display. At least these six icons can possibly be removed. There could also be more examples... The icons that are already mapped to the controller that are still viewable on the display should only take place if it's an absolute must.

There is already an option in Options > Interface to remove all navigational controls on the HUD, through the Touchscreen Mode - Keyboard Only option. I recently tested this and it does remove the navigational controls, but the Virtual Keyboard doesn't appear to work. I submitted a bug report already.

Still, as a 3rd-party solution you can also use the DroidButtons plugin to not only remove the navigational controls, but also create your own buttons on the HUD for any commands.
