Honestly, by this point, you all have got to be completely insane.

I sarcasitally applaud the trolling efforts of some on here to paint this as a "only itani want this" issue..... some fine misinformation spreading there.

seems like people just want a way to stop the hound from being abused by crap players who use it to harass with impudence. Modifying the ship in one way or another to make it more single purpose is the best way to take this tool away from players who are effectively pissing everyone off but themselves without nerfing it out of it's niche intended function. Nothing wrong with that suggestion

I think you guys are funny.
I dont really care if the hound is nerfed or not i am using it to chase voys mainly cos it have a scanner. I can go back to hog II for that purpose np.

To my understanding,

People started complaining when some players used the combination of hound and swarms.
They did not complain before even when the hound was boosted.

On this combination, this thread propose to modify only the hound..

If you nerf the hound, you will have still shitty people swarming around in TPG X atlas and running away as they used to do even before valks were "nerfed".

So we can say it wont solve the issue for uit people who will get no good interceptor or serco native KOS:

You have to be itani to get a valk and in enough good term with serco to get an SVG.

Then, choosing this path implies you are forcing some RP into uit or serco KOS players when the game intended not to do it in the first place.

If you want to talk about fairness, then the decision cannot be let to itani or serco only character well known players (or even to uit character who cheated the exclusivity of mutual exclusion system after is has been introduced).

You could also have suggested to change the swarms when for some reason you seemed to have forgotten that they are also a part of the problem.

You could have proposed, as an example, to increase the grid requirement to ensure they're not to be mounted on anything else than a moth, a taur or a rag (and change the power grid of those ship accordingly). It would have been represented a valid solution as the main propose of this weapon is the defense of heavy ships or the bombing of capships.

An honest solution could have been a compromise: nerfing the hound and limiting access to swarms to heavy ships only.

But this would have required you to be honest, that you cant be obviously. (failing to treat the real problem in a global way and focusing on a solution that might be benefiting to only a category of players)

Then we have all the rights to question the true motivation or hidden agenda behind this suggestion.

There is zero mention of swarms in the original post. You are creating a straw man to divert attention from the real issue.

You just have proven my point Greenwall!

Ok, I dropped thrust to 190 and armor to 7500. Let's see how that goes. I want to do a deeper dive on aggregate statistics of usage and so on, but don't really have the time/resources right now.

Thanks a lot inc!

Wow, how fucking stupid. Vultures now have more armour than a warthog variant wtf.

Vultures are fighters, not chasers.

Vultures are fighters, not chasers.

Well Valks are fights not chasers so nerf their max turbo speed and turbo thrust.Thank you.

The Hound is an interceptor that was suggested and created to fulfill a specific role. It was probably a bit overpowered, and has been tuned to be more in-line with its intended use case. Like everything, it could be tuned again (improved a little, tweaked here/there, etc). Suggestions about other ships should have their own threads.

The hound is basically a drag-racer with guns. Super fast in a straight line, amazing acceleration, not so good with the turning. Its ability to strafe was a bit high for the role/goals. It has almost double the turbo thrust of valk X-1. There isn't a lot of comparison in straight-line acceleration. The valk is a great fighter, we have lots of different ships with pros and cons, and that's the point.

Anyway, this thread is excessive. If someone wants me to buff the Hound back the other way or some such, then marshal your arguments thereof and post it in its own thread.
