How about if a player submits a perticularly juicy bug report with strace logs, reproduction instructions, time, place, levels, moon phase, tide status and position of heavenly bodies?

What does he/she get?

I once got a bunch of ingame credits becuase I wrote "This bug report will cost you 200 credits. Please deposit it in my BoutyBot account."
I'm not even sure if it was a dev depositing money in my account or if it was just money I had forgotten I had.

My suggestion:
A bug reporter medal!
Only people who report good juicy bugs with nice amounts of info and logs get it.
"The crest of the Belivers in the Devs"?
"Devine symbol of BugPrayer"?

hmmm is it not rewarding enough that you can beta test the game for free?

well, yeah, but I'm thinking more along the lines of "whoa! Cool! My bug submit earned me a medal!" than "I WANT SOMETHING MORE FOR FREE!! MORE! MORE I TELL YOU!!!"

Medals are just a useless ego trip. Bah humbug and all that.

Yeah, we've wanted to do that for a few years, but our bug reporting system has even less features than this forum does.
