Just an idea:
Maybe to make it easier for the developers, maybe you could have a system where people could post an "official suggestion". they go in, say their idea, only the developers can reply. this would be seperate from the forums. So if a thread has been debating a suggestion for a while and have come up with an idea, the author of the thread posts an "official suggestion" to see what the just developers think. Also, if the developers want to see what other people said about the idea, they press on a link that warps them to the thread-in-question where the idea was discussed.

Maybe maybe put little page numbers below the thread name on the main page? So we could jump directly to whatever page, like the last....
Apparently, the "reply" link in the footer of each post does something different than the "reply to this thread" link. The former works in lynx, the latter doesn't :O
In other news, though, at least I know how to ^Xe now :D

Sure would be cool if there was a separate forum just for custom binds. Then we'd all see threads with titles, and wouldn't have to page through 10 or more screens of posts under one thread.
Also would like to be able to change any/all text and HUD colors. Much of the text is very hard for me to read. I came up with a custom bind that helps with that issue, but I think posting custom binds in the custom binds thread is a waste because it's too huge to be useable as it is. Really would like to see a forum for custom binds so that thread titles could be used.

The uber-secret project that I'm not exactly sure why it's secret will have this functionality...
When in search, have a Back to index. it only has search, and Froum index
Second
Capitalize: reply to this thread | back to index | forum index | search
it should be:
Reply to this Thread | Back to Index | Forum Index | Search

What about throwing what forum you're in between <title></title>?
Ever thought of using a bbs from "phpBB Group"? They've pretty much got everything you'd want for a forum and it's all prepackaged. Who's online, who's visited. How many have been on, how many posts, avatars, email, easy admin functions, the works.
You really, really, really want a1k0n to kill you, don't you john?

phpBB is much better then this current board, just making a suggestion.
From a1k0n's initial post in this thread: "Please recommend any improvements to our forum here you can think of (anything but "use phpBB")."
Ok, how bout bold, italic, underlined, ordered lists, unordered lists, avatars, profiles, number of posts, # of active readers, signatures, pretty much all the features of phpBB without using phpBB???? =D
Who wants that ****? Profiles? Avatars? Number of posts? Useless ****. I can see the formatting like font control and lists, but the other stuff is useless that only serves to distract the reader from the actual content of the post.
your a minimalist arent you rogue? =)
You should see the forum I wrote once. I'm still debating whether to include it in Roguelazer.com 2.0. It was -very- minimalist, but CSS can do some wonderful things for appearance without adding the hundreds of KBytes required for image-based layouts like PHPBB's and this site's.
A suggestion for the "previously suggested" list/sticky.
It would be really cool if the FM would attach a link with the added suggestion.
Example:
Landing on Planets - {link goes here}{second link if has good info}{third if applicable}
that way those that look at that list can also use it to quickly referrance anything that's been metioned already. At first it would be a bit of a pain for someone to update what is already there, but once it's done, evry time a new item gets added they just ad the link with it. No hassle.

Moderator names should be in some color, I don't remember who's a mod. I suggest yellow.
Here's another thought (which people may or may not like): next to the poster's name display the date they joined... that way you can get an idea of whether or not they probably know what they are talking about.
Phaserlight, a sig line could do the same thing as a join date, you could display your current char info if you wanted.
Another suggestion for the forum, a preview button to proof read your post before submitting, since you've added in the formatting tags, it would be nice to see if they are all working before submission.

The developers have expressed specifically that they do NOT want to allow sigs.
