anythings codable but its all a matter of time and testing... -_- and with only 3 devs it could be difficult.

Yoda, you just noticed that were all ninnys? i dont even play te game anymore i just keep it goin to finance the devs.. :)

tosh: the four fingers formation would probably still apply (with some modification to account for 3D space), but again the issue is the inability to turn our heads. Maybe setting the fov to 180 degrees would help formation flight, but it's still pretty restrictive, and has its disadvantages.

Yes, definitely. I just thought that since in the four fingers, you actually aren't side by side, and thus could probably hold your position more easily.

But a 'lookaround' feature would be pretty nice. Or a way to implement a bind that allows to quickly switch to a preset 3rd person camera position. The 3rd person camera is already implemented, anyway.

Hi,

formation flight is not easy. Its not only about your position according others but also your speed. A simple turn left by 90 degrees is a real pain in formation.
The left most member have to slow down or even stop, the right most have to speed up and keep the arc of the circle and all inside has to synchronize the speed and position with the flanks.

You need lot of practice to do it correctly. I do not think that it worth the eforts to make the NPCs "woot" :)

yea, or even some sort of loose Echelon formation.

The main issue with formations in Vendetta, again, is the field of view. The point of formations is to be able to cover the other pilots' backs. Since Vendetta (and all other computer games, for that matter) has restricted camera mobility, it makes formation flying a bit pointless, other than it looks good.
