I just discovered V-O today, so forgive me if this has been hashed over before.

Would it be possible to give a visual indication (a little light or something) on the HUD of what flight mode you're in? I tend to use Assisted when cruising around and drop out of it for combat. Sometimes when I get jumped, I think I'm in one mode when I'm in another. I can scroll back the chat box to see the last message, but a little 'idiot light' would alleviate that.

It's been suggested before, yes. I'm not sure when the HUD will be tweaked again, but I do know that the devs are aware that people want an indicator.

Rather then scrolling back the chat box, why not just hit the toggle to change the mode? That way you'll know immediately and you can jusy toggle it back if need be.

Yes! This is the fastest method!

Mostly because I have to take my hand off the mouse, or off the thruster keys, to toggle the controls (I have the same problem with the scrollback option). I guess its time to figure out how to rebind keys. :)

I've grown so used to it that when I go to a friends house to play VO, I don't even bother asking them if I can stick it in (and then a couple days later I get a call like "WHAT THE **** DID YOU DO! I CANT STOP TURBOING!")
