Yes this game does have a relatively small player base, and a very small and overworked development team. This being said, both the player base and development team often very helpful and work hard as a community to resolve issues. However, the tone you have set in your posts is most likely the cause of the cricket chirps you are getting as response. If you want a developer, or even more so a player (like me) to take time out of our day to help you, you should be willing to spend at least a fraction of that time yourself to write a proper request for help. This being a multinational game, not everyone is expected to be masters of english language; but getting "fck" thrown around every other word will make it hard to take you seriously, and will greatly decrease your chance of finding someone who will help you if all it means is bringing more of that into a mature game that we all love. Now in effort to show that I really do want to help, and genuinely hope you get to play vendetta and enjoy it with the rest of us: Windows 7+porn+No firewalll=virus city. Maybe your computer is sick. Alternatively it sounds like you are running out of hard drive space before getting the full update, how much space you got left on your comp? If these don't seem to be it, tell us what error msg do you get when it stops working? Can you maybe give screenshots of any errors? If you don't see any visible errors the next step will be to find the errors in terminal (or whatever Windows calls it) but that's more involved, so try others first. If you continue to try, so will I.

I can vouch for this. I was about to report this issue myself but saw this. What is happening is that the update utility freezes or crashes repeatedly on Windows XP. I don't know if this is happening on other versions. Sometimes it just goes to a blank white screen, sometimes it goes through the update and then goes to the blank white screen of death. And sometimes after doing both I get to f-ing play the game.

I certainly understand the OP's frustration because I am beginning to feel it myself.

This started happening maybe within the last month. At first it was a minor neusance and I didn't bother with it. However, the problem is becoming increasingly frequent for me at least.

Please open a support ticket for issues like this.
But now that it is known, I will look into it.

Death Fluffy, so the blank white screen is in the Update utility window?

We have no problems with the Updater in Windows XP.
Are you using the default XP desktop theme? If not, try that to see if the updater works.
How about a multi-monitor setup?

Ray,

Yes, the Update utility goes to a blank white within the borders of the utility window. I started noticing the issue fairly recently- some time in June / July. In the last week or so, the issue has not occurred that I've noticed. I just reset my desktop them and will open a ticket if the issue starts occurring again.

We did reduce the size of the changelog with the last update, maybe the long changelog was causing the problem.
