Will there be any speed improvements in the rglow function?

It's not really a big issue for me as I'm just keeping it disabled until I can upgrade my GF FX 5600 XT to something that manages more than a few hundred polys at at time...

I'm just wondering: I heard way back that it's something that will be changed/improved. Is that still in the plans?
