Announcing the results of The Deneb Run #46, sponsored by TGFT and EnB. Special thanks to Miharu for helping collect racer stats.

The Pilots
----------
Blue Streak: Itani, member of SB, he is the winningest pilot in The Deneb Run, host of the Corporate Sectors Run AND Nation War events, sometimes announcer of The Deneb Run, and has done many race writeups for The Deneb Run.

Mick: UIT, he's a veteran racer with many top 3 finishes and a win in The Deneb Run. He also won the Corporate Sectors Run for the last 2 weeks, setting a new record in that race for the 2nd straight week.

Joyce Sanders: UIT, Commander of SB, she is a very competitive veteran racer and has earned a win and many top 3 finishes in The Deneb Run.

Spaceranger: UIT, member of TGFT, he is a veteran racer who's best place so far is 2nd.

Breazle: UIT, member of BHu, this is his third race and he already has a 2nd place finish.

Calder: Itani, he has raced a couple of times in The Deneb Run and placed 3rd last week.

Mike-L: Serco, council member of SCAR, this veteran racer has pretty consistently exemplified the phrase "blaze of glory", though he did finish 1 of his 6 races.

Surbius Bondevo: UIT, member of TGFT, this is his second race.

Lagrange Remor: UIT, this is his first race.

The Race

[check here later]

The Stats
---------
Mike-L | 32:58 | Orion Hornet, FC, no weaps
Joyce Sanders | 33:25 | Orion Hornet, FC, no weaps
Breazle | 34:28 | Orion Hornet, FC, no weaps
Spaceranger | 34:47 | Orion Hornet, FC, 1x Gemini missile
Surbius Bondevo | 36:22 | Orion Hornet, FC, 4x Neut2
Lagrange Remor | DNF | Hornet MkI, Heavy batt, 2x Neut, 2x Plasma HX
Calder | DNF | Orion Hornet, FC, no weaps
Mick | DNF | IDF Valk, FC, no weaps
Blue Streak | DNF | Corvus Maud, no weaps

Interesting observations:

1. Maybe I should change the starting theme from Ride of the Valkyries to Flight of the Bumblebee. Orion Hornets for the win!

2. My rapid-fire typing of the race progress in channel 100 seems to be upsetting to some players, so I'm considering using a special race channel starting next week. I'll announce the channel in the post for the next race. The potential downside is that new players don't find out about the event, so I'd like to hear other people's comments.

I vote we mute every helpful person out there! They spam 100 with utter NONESENSE of helpfulness! They CLOG the channelm PREVENTING me from talking about nothing really but that is my RIGHT! I AM BEING ENCROACHED UPON!

The obvious and best answer is to get a Guide to mute both Genka and spuck ten minutes before the event. They are the only ones "complaining", and we all know they are just really trying to be annoying.

Dont pay attention to those who cant listen to your comment of the race on 100, its a event that last for a short period of time once a week, i think most of us can live with it.

KEEP IT ON 100 !!
May 16, 2006 ufoman link
Heh, not a bad time...

Spucky, where were ye that day? :P

I'd say pick a channel to use for the race commentary.

pick channel! pick channel!

jex: you are wrong!
