To be extra fair, they had just completed the tools to make the event happen on that very day. I think they figured "Why wait?".

Yeah, we had plenty of planning, the issue was whether we could actually make it happen or not. I didn't want to post about a big convoy thing, and then be forced to do some trivial capship battle thing due to the tools being incomplete. So, I waited until the tools were absolutely implemented and tested, in production, before posting (which was 4am that morning). I would have preferred to post about it much earlier, but that's life.

I meant to show up, Inc. And apparently I SHOULD HAVE, due to the cargo... R/L raised its ugly head, though.

But I think events like this will bring nothing but pure awesomeness to the game. Make the other devs pilot the escort ships though, you can give them superbusses if you want, it will still be fun.

I agree; I would definitely like to see another one of these. Maybe a Christmas Convoy? ;-)
