I figured it out!

Whoever is being warped doesn't have to activate, but others can tag along!

I guess I found out how guide warping works. It creates a temporary instance of a wormhole right there. I was following a guide around (I won't name who) by actually pressing my activate key while next to them. I went from 5->15->16->9 just by doing this. Interesting.

The way to do it is just to be right next to the dev/guide when they do their little command thingy and it will pop up on the screen "Press the activate key to enter a wormhole to sector x" like usual. Press enter, and whamo.

It's fun to follow guides/devs around while they're doing stuff.

That can't be right. a1k0n has dev-warped me before and I got no prompt or message. One minute I was flying around and the next I saw the wormhole animation and went straight to Sector 18 from Sector 10.

perhaps a Dev-warp is different from a guide-warp, eh?

Oh, and sherman: There is only one guide.
He plays as 0racle… and two other chars. Huh. Can't remember the names of 'em.

I got guide-warped by Sherpa and I got no warp message. And I got warped to sector 0 (w00t!) by Incarnate two days ago and got no warp message.

Didn't they get rid of sector 0?

Nope. It's now a super-cool sector.

The Guide chars are Sherpa, Shephard, and 0racle for those that do not know. FM has posted this information somewhere...
