I obseved a discussion about using IRC to continue to chat while muted. The IRC bot *could* be muted, but that wouldn't be fair to other users. If you are muted and prefer to attempt to go around the disciplinary measure rather than agree to modify your behavior, you will be banned.
If you have been muted, you may /msg Guide(whatever # was listed on the mute notice, no space) to express your remorse and agree never to do whatever it was you did again. The guide is the only person you will be able to contact while muted. Arguing, justifying, comparing and general kvetching is not conducive to being unmuted anytime soon. Your best bet is to immediately chill out, admit fault, and agree to cease and desist. Future trangressions may be met with sudden transportation, death, or banning.
