At first I was thinking oh no not another map.

But yours is the most updated one currently and I like how it has a screen shot of each sector.

I think, for the hidden sectors, maybe make the outside light blue circle dotted or something? Or perhaps just have an 'H' watermark. Just so people know which ones are hidden.

i will put "this sector is a hidden sector" in there somewhere...

You know I've been thinking... some of the middle sectors have hidden sectors in 'em. Let's say for example sector 9 has a hidden sector. But sector 9 is already surrounded by charted sectors in all directions. So on a 2D map, where would you have room to branch that secret sector from if there's no room around it? Are we going to have to start making 3D maps now? How will the final game, with its thousands of sectors, handle mapping if there's going to be a lot of overlapping paths/hidden sectors? Things might get a little complicated...

wow... i think a 3d modeled map would be wicked!!...
but i'm only a 2d artist... booo!...

i think i cross the bridge of a 1000 map sector when i we get there, also i'm going to try to start -VC- guild to enlist people to take snap shots.... or maybe offer credits to people who send them to me...

its going to be real interesting... thats why i like this game so much.

Thing is a 3d map will have to be interactive, other wise it will be hard to see the rest of the map.

I'm about 60% done with the 3D map. Making a 3D map of Vendetta isn't as easy as it looks. Making the 3D map interactive shouldn't be that hard at all. So I'll be done tomorrow sometime with it all.

Comments:
s2 : Home station of the Serco nation. nothing ever goes on here unless itani or NT find numerical strength.
s12 : Serco LagLand. This huge sector usually lags down players enough to make energyweapons "interesting", which would explain the Serco's proficiency with their heavily armed Promethus, and fondness of explosives and heavy energy weapons.

s9 : "oh, its the new 7"
s7 : "oh, its.. dunno."
s5 : Trader-fighter legion, this is probably the least safe sector in the game.
s13 : Mostly abandoned.
s8 : Mostly abandoned unless for traders who pass through to 14, or returning raiders from itani.
s11: interestingly enough this sector has seen heavy traffic, probably because its placement between s9 and NT hometurf, as well as the passing through to the hidden sectors s17 and s18.
s10: once a trading nexus and battlefield, few seem to venture here theese days.

okay well i made it very plain and here it is...you can see it 2 ways...first is interactively with VRML

You'll need this(mac and pc):

I'll do textures or whatever tomorrow, I just really want to get a stand-alone thing done so people don't have to dl a plugin.
