Goodbye Note (that might possibly potentially maybe say something <.<)

Jul 26, 2005 Seraph link
I'm leaving.

blah blah

... ^_~ haha, don't worry, I wouldn't do that.

First of all, I am, unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately, I hope not), leaving. After coming back from my extended away period, I realize I simply don't have the time, stamina, or energy for a game like this. I respect you guys that can keep up with the community, but I can only do it if I have a dayjob and that's all I need to take care of. Personally, I'm enthralled with other projects and ideas that take up my time, and games sometimes have the rude ability to knock those projects down—things that are important to me.

So it saddens me to leave such a beautiful, amazing game like this to its own devices and one-player-less-amount of Monty Python recitations and sci-fi storytellings (no, I'm not finishing Toasted Marshmellow. Sorry.). However, the upside is that it will give me much more time for many more artistic, inspirational pursuits. If you're interested, keep up with me at www.secondseraph.com (if you haven't garnered that I personally hosted the Eo's Path site).

About Eo's Path, I've now heard that Lord Q and M'at decided to wait for me to get back. I'm sorry I didn't get to tell you guys this personally, as this is what I planned, but I need to cut myself off from this MMOG, and I'm not really waiting for much else. Therefore, I leave Eo's Path in your capable hands, and I hope that you guys get it working.

As for storytelling, and what I was writing on Toasted Marshmellow, it was a reflection of a much larger story I'm writing presently. Dr. Lecter becomes imbued by the forces of evil itself within the Universe and present in the Hive, becomes half-Hive himself, and is defeated by the combined mind-linked Itani healing energies of 2seraph and a couple other Itani mystics, while Broma-Ba Slick does some heroic work on the sideline and helps save the universe. Dr. Lecter is freed from the grip of "the Void", the Hive is destroyed in the cataclysmic reaction, and the Universe is one step closer towards love and harmony and the purification of ultimate evil because of the cosmic ramifications (destruction of evil through the destruction of the Hive). That was the story.

Sorry I couldn't put that in narrative—like I said, I was busy with another story, and it's much longer and better than Marshmellow ;) (at least, I'd hope to believe). All I can say is, to keep updated, visit secondseraph.com, which is undergoing a rehaul (the site will change radically soon).

If Lord Q and M'at get Eo's Path started, I'd be very greatful if someone would host the Eo's Path site. I'm not going to host it forever.

Otherwise, and to end, just a quick list of thanks:
-the Dev's for creating such a wonderful, beautiful, and expanding game, hairy and as frustrating it may be sometime.
-Alamar, for being my first mentor, starting me on 200,000 credits and being an overall warm-and-fuzzy pirate to help me in the new universe.
-Dr. Lecter, for being cool about stuff, even if he's Serco.
-smittens, for being funny
-mutorcs, for being a crackbot buddy
-Lin, for trying to kill me in Serco space and making me look like a fool
-0, for pirating me and making me run like hell
-Stukov, for being the cool and crazy guy he is
-Blood_Wraith, for being cool like Dr. Lecter
-That Guy, for taking all the cracks I made at his name on 100
-who? me?? see "That Guy"
-All the people who were willing to work with Eo's Path and carried the idea after I left
-Eldrad, for being a helpful veteran and showing me what combat could be like
-tumblemonster and all the old, crusty pirates that gave me a short-lived but exilerating bus war in the Odia Ice Crystal.
-Broma-Ba Slick, for inspiring a story and being cool the way he is.
-Nerde Verde, because he's also cool.
-Anyone else I forgot to mention.*
*-Like LeberMac, who gave me good advice about recruitment, called us a "hippie guild", making me laugh and forcing me to figure him (and his tequila) into the Marshmellow story, and for offering to host the Eo's Path site. He's a good dude.
*-Like Miharu, because I don't want her to cry, and because she hat0rzed me on 100 when I bashed Stukov's girl alt (whom I was in cahoots with).

You all rock.

peace out

Leber, thanks man. In fact, you were one of the people I forget to mention (goes to edit post).

I could probably email the files no problem… the whole site is just under half a meg. Would you prefer that way?

*sniff*... Miharu wasn't mentioned... *cries*

:P

Good luck, dude. Keep in mind that even if your account expires you can still visit the forums and post. Look at Aeternalis; she hasn't played since early beta :P

Good luck to you, Seraph ...

No problem Seraph, email away.
Now to find the cheapest domain provider to purchase the domain name. I think godaddy is having a sale again... Prolly $5 Is that OK?
Available names:
eos-path.com/net/org
eospath.com/net/org
eopath.net
eo-path.com/net/org
hippieguild.com/net/org

Let me know what domain you like.
(Before Guild goes enforcing the user agreement on me. I AM NOT MAKING A PROFIT ON THIS!)

I'll mention Miharu but usually as soon as I open my mouth around her the SKOM makes an appearance. (Zoiks!) And I can still visit the forums and post, and I've been not "investing" in VO for a bit.

Broma quit drinkin all my booze! Well... OK, I guess a shot or 2 won't hurt. After Borb made off with most of my stash, the small bit that you and Holdan have is all that's left. I'm sure Borb is using my tequila for evil. (/me cries...)

Best 'o lock in future endeavors, Seraph.

well, I'd like to leave domain names up to Lord Q, since I'm not the commandeer of this anymore, but unless he doesn't say anything about it soon enough, my personal vote would be for eospath.com.

I'll get you that email soon, Leber.

*Edits post for Miharu. ^.^

wow, i'm sorry i missed this fore so long... i've actualy been buisy myself, but ironikly enoug that will be less of the case once i start school again.

Anyway,

 Seraph:

you will be missed. And good luck with your other projects.

::moment of silence::

As for Eo's path, it seems that without you the guild has lost it's momentum. but I'll do my best to get it going again.

Also i agree that
eospath.com
is the easiest to remember and type

I'm noticing Leber's mentioning the SKOM more often than I am. I've actually used the MEP (+18!) more often in the past few weeks.
