OK a lot of interest in this idea has been expressed, but due to various conflicts there was virtualy no turnout for the interest meeting.

So we'll try to have another meeting. I will now take requests for when the meeting should be. Please try to express times in GMT as well as whatever other timezone you see fit.

I apologize profusely, I was in-position in my Vult at Sedina L-2 for the meeting but my eldest youngling started throwing up at around 8:00 and didn't really stop until about 1 AM. I've never seen that much volume of barf come out of a 4 year old.

It was an interesting night. :/

So, whenever you'd like to reschedule, I'm in.

Please not this weekend! I'm about to leave!

I'd still like to do this. Q, ace, Smit, Seta, Shape, Nerde, tumble, Miharu, et. al: Are you in?
We should set a time that doesn't conflict with the rest of the stuff going on this weekend. Like my party on Saturday. How about Sunday?

Let's do Vult Mk I's and meet up in Sedina somewhere, K?

Time? Suggestions?

Or if you wanted to do it the REALLY easy way, you could just have someone write a bind, and on 3, everyone would execute it. That would be the only way to get true precission. I would hardly like to be one of the animated corpses... I mean pilots, but yeah, it would produce some stunningly coordinated results. I've written some pretty advanced dodge binds before, so if you want to try it out, I might be able to help.

OK Calder, write some kind of cool bind that we could all execute.

Calder

i think you missed the point. the idea is to do it manualy not just execute a binde.

anyway, the reason i haven't sugested a time is i'm prety buisy this weekend. i may be able to participate on Sunday from around 8-9 pm EDT.

I talked about this idea online with someone, some time ago. So count me in. :)

1. it requires modification to the game. namely, a way to look at other people. maybe a keypad system, with 6 = right, 5= up, 4 - left, 9 = half right, 5+6='up and right', etc. or maybe a mouse system of some sort where you can look without changing nose view.

2. another required modification is streaming smoke feature.

3. a training exercise, for now, could be to fly through the racetracks in a 'train' formation. very simple. just see how close you can stick on the leaders butt.

4. the ship you use should obviously be a pink warthog mk ii, which is beyond compare in grace and dignity when compared with any other ship/color combo in the game.

"4. the ship you use should obviously be a pink warthog mk ii, which is beyond compare in grace and dignity when compared with any other ship/color combo in the game."

um, no

pink is the worst color ever to exist and will always be so.

the best ships would be white (so they can be esily seen from afar againts the black background of space) vulturs or warthogs. Vultures would be bettwe for role-intensive routiens because their wings illistrate that they are rolling better than the compact frame of the hog.

and it can be done with what we have now, but it will take a lot of skill.

Eh, with Skype its possible, but I would like the ability to look around
