Honestly, this is ridiculous. You two are throwing away countless billions to fund a 'war effort' that amounts to little more than a stalemate, whilst the Union corporations are raking in the dough hand-over fist! Of course, I realize that if this continues, then eventually the Territories will just be another battleground in this lousy war (well, more than they already are), a prospect most definitely not good for business in the long-run.
Then again, if things get out of hand, the UIT's military arm, the Union Peacekeeping Corps (UPKC) could probably pacify the situation with a task-force. Sure, its a fairly defunct entity these days, but its still got quite a lot of firepower lying around, if only the Senate would authorize its use for a change! >^(

A scientific endeavor, such as you claim, would have at least tried to present that "story". These were professional evaders. Not willing to let slip the smallest detail in fear their true intentions would become known.
Our pursuit of the truth behind this "mission" made it necessary for us to try to recreate their steps. This action resulted in a meeting with a belligerent Itani, in charge of a space-going vessel the size of which was beyond comprehension at the time.

“Obviously, sending combat ships to infiltrate a thoroughly peaceful nation…” Following this deceptive, stalling tactic, a vast fleet consisting of several large warships and thousands of fighters and support ships left planetary orbit to engage our fact-finding mission. When their approach was noticed, we had no choice but to withdraw.
“Hence, the Serco are directly responsible for the creation of the Order of Akan…” The Itani government is responsible for this “splinter group” which has been in existance, in one form or another, since they bombed Itani domes and blamed it on the Serco.
It is beyond me, a Serco dedicated to truth, how anyone can stomach the lies fed to him by your government like you Itani can.

I challenge you to find a more accurate historical treatise than the Itani's galactic History of Exile! Our historians are certainly more versed in the methods of correct and objective historical research.
Perhaps the Serco, ashamed at their own history, need to invent excuses for their shameful past actions, and THAT is why they insist on the lies and falsehoods prevalent throughout their warped "history".

Just because the itani feel this way doesnt mean that the serco do. Your "accurate historical treatise" gives mostly truth, but not the WHOLE truth. we do not argue so much with what your historians write, but with what they leave out.
I stated above, we make no excuses for what we have done during this war, we feel no need to hide our actions behind a group and then claim that group to be 'renegade' and 'beyond our control'. It is the itani who are ashamed of how they have acted, The Itani who refuse to admit to any wrongdoing.
We are not proud of what occured at the planet Eo, but that is the only time WE have ever attacked any civillian target of yours, and we were provoked by the cowardly attack on our fleet by a ship claiming to be a diplomatic vessel. An attack which killed a member of our ruling triumvirate and destroyed the chain of command in the fleet.
How many times throughout our history have you attacked our cities, our worlds, and our people?
Oh.. wait.. I forgot.. you refuse to take responsibility for 'the akanese', yet despite claiming to abhor thier actions you welcome them with open arms, protect them from discovery, aid them with research and intelligence gathering...
In all the history of your people, you have never siezed any of the opportunities you had to seek out thier base or prevent them from returning to it.
By your refusal to stop them, and your acceptence of thier aid, you condone thier actions. To shelter murderers is the same as being a murderer, to claim the murderer is wrong WHILE you shelter him because he is benefical to you is the mark of a coward.
The akanese are the only honest foes we have, for at least they are open in thier intentions, and make no excuses for what they try to do.
