I can see it now: 8 Proms line up, sit still and the Valks charge in. The proms, 7 of 8 of which are carrying Swarms, let fly their entire load all at once. The only valk to survive the onslaught is finished off by the AGT + Flare 8th prom in short order, taking n2 damage from the other 7 proms as well.

I'll bet 1,000,000 the valk's get slaughtered. Maybe after this everyone will finally agree that the SCP is overpowered. You could probably do 8 valks v 6 proms if u want to make it more even.

I suppose I should go get a Valk and stick up for my underpowered, easy-to-hit nation-specific ship that is outclassed by a Centurion. Not that I'm complaining or anything... ;)

Perhaps I should just learn to use Flares? I hear a tri-flare valk is supposed to be fearsome.

1 prom should be able to take at least 2 valks on its own.

Depends when its held, but you can count me n my valk out, if im in, its with a prom, suicide isnt my thing.

Prom V Centurins, maybe a little better, but proms v's centaurs would be sweet.

Valks can take out proms as long as no lag is involved. AGTs are way too powerful, yes, but it is possible to take proms in a single valk when you avoid close-up fights.
