"FNTG Muscles In On TGFT; Fight For The Neutral Trading Guild Dominance"

by UniverseNews. (Now known as Universal News Network)

After many months of heated discussion on Global Channel, and universal data collection, UNN is able to report that an independent researcher found [SKV]'s efficiency in station defense to be 100%. Stations only turned over hands when no [SKV] opposition was presented to defend it. This calls [TGFT]'s ability to win the war into serious question, as core activities seem to have halted.

[TGFT]'s propaganda has become an almost-daily spectacle, with [TGFT] Members "kennyb" and "H.Hornblower" challenging anyone who disagrees with their activities on Global Channel. H.Hornblower has made several "heavily biased" posts on the Forums about the war with [SKV], publicly attacking several members of [SKV] and [Itan], accusing them of breaking the basic tenants of their guild's policies and purpose.

Evidence presented over the last few months have led UNN to conclude that [SKV] were technically the instigators of the war, but were not out of line in targeting [TGFT] members due to low Itani Nation standings. [TGFT] subsequently placed [SKV] on their Kill on Sight list (now renamed the Potentially Hostile List), and [SKV] declared war, due to the escalation of [SKV] to the KOS list without diplomacy.

According to evidence from the 23rd of August 2015 meeting logs in [TGFT]; Sieger (Council member of [TGFT]) is attacking unguilded Itani that had recently left the Coalition of Itan. CrazySpence, former Commander of Itan (unguilded at the time) has been attacked by Sieger by Sieger's own admission.

With the arrival of the newest neutral trading guild to VO; [FNTG], and the continuing turmoil for [TGFT], will [FNTG] overtake [TGFT] as the dominant trading guild for VO? Faille Corvelle, self proclaimed "Empress of Blarg", went on record to state, "if FNTG can maintain its current level of discipline, I would say its possible. To date, 100% of my own encounters and dealings with [FNTG] have been positive.".

With 33 members in the "Friendly Neighborhood Trading Guild", the newest guild to VO, shows promise as it gains traction with the community.

I, Doom Turtle, am funding FNTG. Even though it sounds uncommon/moronic.

Sincerely,
Doom Turtle.

I'm sure I proclaimed Faille to be the Empress of Blarg at some point... but either way... All hail empress faille!

How much does your independent researcher charge for manufacturing false information? I like his work!

Have to be honest greenwall, that post would have been funnier if you posted it as Hornblower

Anti TGFT yet not propaganda, I don't see the bullshit so I'm going to treat this as a valid source of information.

I fund The Friendly Neighborhood Trading Guild through trading interactions. Via their LT 'Larxis' I have purchased several premium commodities, netting them millions of credits. I also assist them by providing trade routes to achieve certain goals. My determination is that like many guilds, active players are but a fraction of the registered players. As to becoming a rival to TGFT? Not likely unless their CO & LTs become more active and they establish some type of permanent communication system to share trade, manufacturing, and leveling strategies.

I believe FNTG is a good starter trade guild, and a potential ally in TGFTs fight for free trade across the verse. Though they will have to build over 20 dents and obtain the same kind of funds we do to surpass us as a guild. It's sad that propaganda is the driving force in their recent acclaim, I am sure they can be a descent guild without the politics involved.

TGFT is doing just fine. I've scored as many as 19 hostile pks in a night this week while giving up as few as two pks.

happy trading!

Why is a trading guild concerned with PKs?

Because trade sucks ass in this game, manufacturing is just masochistic, mining is something to do while doing something else irl. The only aspect that really works is combat. In fact the only reason I'm logging in when I have time is because there are nefarious pirates and enemies of my guild to shoot at. :)

Let me be perfectly frank. I am personally thrilled to not have access to those stations. Yes, I want to trade, manufacture, sell to other players but right now with the current state of the game, none of that is fun to me. I am perfectly happy to pad my credit balance with the asinine escort missions while looking for people to shoot.

Hmmm. I'm sounding a bit bitter. I may need to take another few months off soonish.

What good is your money if there isn't anything to spend on? What good is your guild if you can't use any stations to manufacture parts and conduct business with other players? What good is your guild if new players who honestly want to peacefully trade/mine/manufacture are forced into uncomfortable, nonconsensual pvp situations seeing how your guild is at war with literally everyone else?

FNTG, on the other hand, has access to stations and are warrantied indefinitely. They are on good terms with everyone. I'd say they are light years ahead of you in terms of a neutral trading guild. They are going to recruit all of the new players, and your guild is going to shrink and wither from lack of new players. I'd say they are a serious competitor, not a potential ally for you. They have absolutely no reason to be dragged into the war you are having right now.

Also, I'd like to correct a fairly common misconception that some TGFT pilots appear to be upholding.

"It's a fight for free trade! It's a fight against tyranny!"

Nope. It's not about these at all. THE reason you're in this deep shit is:

It's mostly your leaders AKA Ecka, Lisa, et cetera. It's not really your fault. If I were you, and I honestly wanted to be a neutral trader and have access to stations like a neutral trader should, I would hop ships and join FNTG. TRI is a very respectable, thriving guild too. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to ride a behemoth through space without worrying about it turning into swiss cheese?

Lol @joylessjoker

Business is going very well, as always, despite popular belief and delusion, TGFT is still thriving as a trading guild, as always. Trade has slowed down due to our focus on the war that SKV started, and our lack of station access has been a very insubstantial hindrance. We are still building dents, we are still conducting business with players, and we are still making dough. As experience and pvp focused as hostile guilds like SKV are, they aren't achieving anything. You turn a few ships to "swiss cheese", and we are still making millions every day. We are still completing missions, having fun, and even a good deal of us partaking in and winning at PVP. You stand on the fact that as a whole we are not as experienced at PVP as you. Well no shit, we are a trading guild. Sure, a new player could join FNTG and trade under the heel of FAMY, whilst dodging Nationalists. But that is the crucial difference between TGFT and FNTG, FNTG is content with paying pirates and meeting nationalist demands. TGFT is not.

I'll tell you mine is collecting dust somewhere in Arta because there is nothing in game that I want to do with it 99% of the time. That's why most non vets who built tridents are nowhere to be seen. Once the shiny wears off, they are more of a burden than a boon.
Sep 30, 2015 greenwall link
Yep, trident completion is the endgame for many, especially non-combat-minded players.
Sep 30, 2015 joylessjoker link

How exactly are you building dents without access to stations? Is there another station hidden somewhere that only TGFT knows about where you can build all of the needed parts?

If you're having fun in this state you're in right now, kudos to you. Have fun getting blown up!

However, there is one thing that I know, something that is proven again and again in VO history: if you stop recruiting new players, your guild WILL wither and die. Ultimately, the size of your bank and your dent fleet don't mean shit. Players come and.... they go. It goes without saying that traders, especially new ones, don't like having their ships blown up with precious cargo inside because well, that's bad for business. So... what's your game plan to keep gaining new recruits? FNTG does seem like a more attractive alternative to TGFT for new players, don't you think?
Sep 30, 2015 greenwall link
failure, prop-up guilds don't work. FNTG days are numbered just as were the TGFT-alt created serco nationalist guilds. TGFT, on the other hand, is not going away, despite this bizarre campaign by the bully-brigade. Large, old guilds have deep roots. If inactivity and low recruitment are supposed to kill a guild, PA would have dissolved long ago, but it's very much still intact.

But, silly me, why would I think you could discuss things reasonably? I look forward to your response meme.
