Local Tavern Takes on New Drink Mixer

Authorities were baffled yesterday when the local bartender decided to welcome Leela, a ship's artificial intelligence also known as "banshee" to the tiny crew.

She previously had done all the work on her surprisingly successful bar for a time, (she estimates somewhere around mid-February to mid-March of last year) and states: "The bar's limited hours severely cut back on the income. Now I already had known Leela's husband, toshiro kanchou, for a long time, and when he mentioned that his wife needed a job, I of course had to give her more of a chance. With Leela helping around, I could keep the bar open longer and bring in more revenue."

Leela will be starting at her new job within the week, but before she can start, needs to finish uploading the Makchuga's waitressing/accounting program, and finish her personal additions to the menu.

"I'm glad to have a job," Leela says to me in her holographic form. "It's not often you'll find a ship's AI with a job other than keeping the ship going where it's supposed to, or just screaming 'OW' when the ship hits something."

The bartender says that if you see Leela in sector 7, that it is okay to pay her for the food or drinks, and that tips are always welcome.

This SOOOOO begs for costum "widgets" - I mean, how the darnest am I to get take-out?
Doing cargo-runs and falling asleep is bad, so rather send one of the escorts to pick up some Tactaran Espresso for those long-hauls.

/G, dining on homebaked bread.

"You have to discuss prices with me before i will put them up there, as they are your food items."

5 creds per small, 20 creds per big. Bus sized for 100,000 creds. :P

Hmm, lesse, take out... order, pay, wait for food, recieve food, leave.

As for widgets... mmmm no. We don't need the process to get any more complicated than it is. Most people who learn about it can't even figure it out when it's spelt plainly out to them, much less ingame. Widgets would make the whole thing harder to deal with, and where would my charitable profits go? To the dynamic economy. Not, as they should, to new players.

It would be interesting some day to allow merchants to sell "powerup" widgets. Espresso widgets could increase dexterity / maneuvering slightly, ale could decrease it significantly or even cause you to be prevented from leaving the station. The list could go on...or not. The effects would be temporary.

Thanks, Tyrdium. And would you like the proceeds to go to the newbies? I need to know so I can put it in my waitressing program.

Errr... Sure, why not? I wouldn't mind some, though. I have a total of 125 creds... :P

Now, go buy some bus sized cookies, people! ^_^

Error: Program does not recognize term 'some'

Make up your mind. if you want profits from your cookies to go to you, I can't split it up. Or maybe I can. *grabs calculator*

Besides, what percentage do you want? 20%? 30? 40?

EDIT: I'm giving you 40% of the profits on your cookies, Tyrdium.

you're too young to know it by sight... *sighs* *points Trigger in the direction of the Thousand Sons' Roast Duck*

Thousand Sons? I never liked that name. Never Ever. Horrible, this idea. I'd rather we be called the Neutral confederacy or the Neutral League, or somesuch.
Make it a confederate roast duck.

[spam removed] Trigger, you are in viloation of the most basic of nettiquette rules. Don't post unless it is on topic.

I did not find the post in question (I am assuming it was the one about the neutral meal) to be off topic, Whistler. Perhaps I would be better at determining what is off topic and what is on topic in the RP forum, being a leader in the realm...

Menu to be updated again sometime in the near future.

Ok, something is indeed wrong with this thread. at first I saw FM as having the last reply. Ok. Fine. But when I scroll down several posts are missing. I reply, thinking it's in connection to his post, but no, there they are when my post shows up. Devs? something going on with ol' vroomfondel?

Celkan, I can't say as I recall what the post was anymore. Please look up "presumptuous".

Can you describe the problem you've noted in a different way? I see only your posts following mine, and I haven't deleted any other than the one I mentioned, so I'm unclear as to what you are reporting.
