Remind me again why everyone hates TGFT, the guild that helps newbies learn the game and has nothing but nice things to say to every new player regardless of their guild? Oh right, they made a plugin that relayed location information to THREE PLAYERS. And all you whiners and haters got on the steamroller and plowed these peaceful and mild mannered traders into the dirt, causing who knows how many long time players to hang up the hat with your toxicity and venom. And you claim victory and gloat in your empty little guilds of three or four active players with 3 accounts each, and with no competent opponents you take to targeting whomever you feel like, driving even more new players from the game until you remain, sad little kings on a pile of refuse that was once a thriving and enjoyable game. But do you leave it there? No, you take it to the forums, and not just RP where it belongs, but all the forums. You argue and slander your way through the entirety of the VO community with your attacks of characters, not of game characters, but the players behind them. You belittle and mock anyone who dares call you out on your caustic behavior and taint every corner of the community with your bitterness and tired old rhetoric. Do you grown ass adults seriously have nothing better to do than lob petty personal insults at each other through a video game? Take a step back and look at what you have written with an objective eye and tell me you are not the very thing that is killing this game.

You forgot the part where they charge those newbies membership dues, that they donn't tell them the plugin they have to run to get the trade data also reports their location along with anyone in their sector.

Also the fact that way back when they wanted other major guilds to pay them for their station keys but expected to get the keys of those guilds for free.

And last but not least their glorious leader refers to anyone he doesn't like as a cunt and has freely stated that they will take advantage of anything they can in game until said items are patched.

There are the facts on your harmless helpful guild. Want the assaults to stop? Have the entire leadership and council resign and give control to some of those new players they claim to want to help.

Dues in TGFT: I dunno, do they actually enforce that? They have a large amount of pilots in their guild, and something tells me they arent kicking the inactive ones who arent paying dues. also, trade/business guild. it makes sense to ask dues. and, they DO state about dues being needed on their website, i beleive.

Keys: who doesnt seem to act like that? I think Knauf is the only person ive gotten a station key from for free.

Should the old pilots resign? well, I wouldnt mind seeing some of them be replaced, seeing as I dunno if even all of the council members are active. replacing ALL of the members might destabilize the guild, and if they want to continue providing new pilot assistance as they [once did], then there should be some of the active older pilots to help them.

I havent dealt with ONE outside of them shooting at me. at first I was confused, but then I understood the RP a bit, and dont mind. though, I wish they would take it a step further with the RP sometime. but thats okay for now.

VOID help the RP (or, most of them do. but those arent the biggest members of VOID, and is one of the reasons I wouldnt join VOID). They also stay in greyspace for the most part, which gives new pilots breathing room from pirates (though, I miss FAMY sometimes).

All the forums are sprinkled with salt, and its everyone's fault. when you point fingers at someone, there are 3 fingers still pointed at you (lest you chop them off or arent pointing like a normal person)

Also Luxen, a bit of salt is good! It makes everything more tasty and interesting.

@somote congratulations, you have perfected the art of plagiarism. And to be clear, I did not leave TGFT to build my trident. I joined TRI because they were a great group of pilots who did more for the player economy than the self proclaimed trade guild. TRI has of course changed and I have found a different guild.
As for TGFT , I refute the claim that I defend their every action. However due to what I can only describe as collective closedmindedness, you lot can't understand less than absolute positions on any subject, and therefore I decline to comment further on my views. I simply enjoy the attempted mimicry as the validation that it is and rest my case.

TGFT's failing was partly to blame on Guild's "unsupported Lua plugin" stance. They got caught doing something unscrupulous and it reflects poorly on the game (which added to the toxicity you refer to). We knew TGFT were shitlords and they proved it to the community. Ecka said they would use whatever means necessary to further their objectives. Hell, he even threatened to announce my IP on 100 as if he had it (and kick my alt from his shitty guild). I don't have an alt in TGFT so I'm not sure who's IP he was planning to announce.

Thats why I hate TGFT. Im sure others could remind you of their reasons. This is now a remind-Thor-of-why-you-hate-TGFT thread.

So all the reasons you hate TGFT are all true for ONE/SKV, I don't see your point. A-Dawg is running the SKV/EDIT AND FAMY lua software, as I'm sure the rest of you are.
