Guilds
Hey, I am a "new player". I would like to join a league. Any suggestions? If yes, post a name of a league and who to contact. Also, give a quick description. I am 1/3/2/1/2.
I'm pretty new too. Finding a guild is something I'd do via the ingame chat. You can read up on most guolds here on the page, so you have an idea what guilds there are.
If you are on during busy times there will be guild receuitment adds.
It ultimately depends on what you wish to do in the game. however, these tips may help you find a guild you wish:
Reach 3/3/2/3/- before trying to join major combat guilds - some may even require something higher.
Be careful what you say in 100; your image to other pilots who do the recruiting may heavily affect your chances of being recruited for a guild.
Be VERY aware that being part of a guild may also introduce you to the ruthless guild politics in the game. The guild politics in the game are best avoided until you have a better idea what guild lies with which power, and if/how you wish to be a part of it.
Finally, actually know what kind of pilot or RP you truely wish to pursue. Different pilots do different things, playing into what they are most comfortable with, and which entertains them the most.
Remember, its just a game. If you arent enjoying something, you might be doing it wrong.

Well, if you are combat, the main (as in very powerful, but vaguely respectable, and highly populous) guilds are ONE, SKV, and VOID. I am in the latter.
For a newb, I would recommend learning the in-game power structure, and contacting 'nycersul', if you are on android. We have two types of players here: droid and pc, and the only way for a droid user to keep up with a pc user is with droidbuttons. He can help you with that.
If you are a trader there is TGFT, SARC and RTMC, the latter of the three being the best trade/mining guild for newbs. I recommend joining RTMC, and then moving to TGFT in your case.
For a miner, RTMC will help at first. If you want, move over to ORE after you are part of the long-term community of 'sticky' players.
If you want to be a medic, join EMS.
Also, try to contact EMS for a 'noobkit', a selection of handpicked items that do not need a licence, and make the game much easier.
If you don't know what to specialise in, just hang around, and if needed, get droidbuttons.
If you are on pc, contact me, and I'll direct you to a neat page of the vo wiki where you can copy+paste a few lines of code to get some top-class binds. Believe me, you will need some later.

Oh, and if you want to know who to contact, just head over to the 'guilds' section of this website. only the 'Commanders' and 'Lieutenants' can invite you to their guild, though trusted members can 'vet' you, as in confirm if you would be a good guild-member
