Cyrus ez80's story

I am Cyrus Ezalia, whom you may know as Cyrus-ez80 from the galactic intercom; today is my last day in space for a short time, and I wish to provide you with my story.

I was born in Attus Orbital 48 years ago, raised to honor the UIT and promote business throughout the known systems. From an early age I loved to tinker with things, and excelled in my studies. At the age of 17 I received an offer to study mechanical engineering at a minor tpg research facility, where eventually I took a permanent job at. By 22, I was a prominent ballistics engineer. One of my latest projects was a rapid-release system for micro-sized flares; much like a peppering of blinding explosions, compared to the massive rockets used today. As some of you may remember, 26 years ago is when the Besada Orbital political scandal emerged (if you dont, it involves some TPG politicians doing some nasty stuff under the table, including the development of items they had expressly forbade from the other UIT factions). Despite being ignorant of the Besada research - nay, despite never being even remotely involved! I was labled as the kingpin in the operations there, that I was a rogue element. They destroyed the Besada station and I, the scapegoat, have been in some meatlocker till a few months ago, known merely as prisoner 80.

This is where I learned the truth.

My prison warden was a former serco militant who had chased itani scum through grey till one day she ran out of credits, and had to take a job beating inmates into submission. Here, she taught the Dominion Way, the serco way of life, and for many years I greedily drank it in. The UIT had no honor; the elitists had free reign, and could label and destroy the life of anyone they so desired. As I simmered on that, and as I began embracing the life that the warden taught, a plan began to form in my head.

It wasnt unheard of for pilots of a faction to submit for a change of citizenry. With my burning hatred for the UIT, my reformed lifestyle, and my knowledge of mechanics and UIT ballistics, surely my home was not in Arta Celeastis, but among my Greatest Brethren of the Dominion! My sentance wasnt a permanent one, just long enough for my name to be scrubbed to oblivion from the memories of the simple man. As soon as I was free from this cage, I vowed to leave behind the bloodiest bath of deceit known as UIT space behind me. I would head to Sol II, where I would gain the favor of the local pilots and courts. I would register in their militia.

And today...

Today I board a shuttle going down to Sol II, down the gravity well, where I will meet with the highest of Serco courts! In the upcoming days, should I persuade the council, and should I pass the tests presented before me, I will join my brethren as a true Serco!

The blood I have shed was in vain. The blood I am shedding, however, and the blood I shed in the future, let it be the blood of a Serco Warrior!

Let my past quiver in fear, for it is no longer a peice of me. I return! Glory to the Dominion!

Nice start. I await further developments, though in trading UIT for Serco, I believe you've traded one petty tyrant for another...

In a nutshell you changed your UIT char to a Serco char and became a nationalist?
