The Battle of Latos O-12

Jun 28, 2018 Piment link
The following story presents the events that took place in the Latos system, consisting of a skirmish between Serco SkyCommand forces and a group of hostile pilots ([AQLA], [ONE], unaligned).

Music :)

Latos system, sector M-7, Corvus shipyards

The M-7 sector is known for its great secret, as the fog of heavy manufacturing and lone asteroids provide cover for the massive shipyards station operated by the rogue organization known as "Corvus Prime".

Although it is a harbor for scum and villainy, SkyCommand has come to utilize it for repairs during operations in the anarchic territories of Greyspace, as it is one of the few facilities equipped to handle capital ships.

Suddenly, one of the massive exit docks in the bottom of the grey colored station, marked by the fire of energy blasters, turns its protective shields off, and the great xi-rite alloy reinforced gate opens, revealing a dark silhouette that slowly moves out of the dock into the dense fog that covers the entire sector.

Gravitic pulse displacement engines roared, taking the silhouette into the light and revealing a red colored Trident Type M class vessel, with the name "SCV Dauntless" written in the port side of the ship. It continued moving as it went further and further away from the station, which eventually disappeared due to the density of the fog.

Aboard the SCV Dauntless

As the ship flew through the fog heading to the designated jump point in sector O-12, the crew was moving fast across the various sections of the Dauntless, checking and double checking all systems to ensure everything is operating at peak efficiency, as they were headed into the dangers of Grey. In the bridge, Fleet Admiral Piment was sitting in his chair, reading shipwide reports in his personal datapad. A lieutenant then approached him:

"Sir, all decks are green, and we have reached the jump point." He said

Piment then put aside his datapad and replied:

"Very well lieutenant, and what of the Executor? Have they contacted us yet?"

The lieutenant raised his datapad, and said as he looked into it:

"Yes sir, comms reported that the Executor sent us a message. They said they are en route to O-12 at this moment, and were delayed due to repairs."

Piment then pressed a button and turned on a tactical display of sector O-12. He stared at it for a short while analyzing the latest intel received.

"Sir?" The lieutenant asked, still standing next to him.

"Engage the gravitic drive to begin jump prep. Keep red alert on standby."

"Yes, sir." The lieutenant answered, ordering other officers in several command stations to prepare and execute the jump.

The Dauntless immediately opened an in-system gravitic wormhole and jumped, instantly entering sector O-12.

"Report."

The lieutenant responds, checking his station's pannel:

"The jump was successful sir, all decks remain green, and shields are at full strength."

As the ship moved through the sector heading for the wormhole area, the officer operating the sensor station suddenly shouted:

"Two bandits have popped on the sensors! Ragnarok bombers!"

Piment then said:

"Red alert. All stop and begin targeting them."

The ship went to stop as the light of the burning hyper-plasma coming out of the pulse engines died off. Then, as the two hostile bombers flew towards the direction of the SkyCommand vessel in an aggressive manner, all four turrets came online, quickly aiming their equipped Chaos Swarms missile pods at the incoming hostiles.

"Missiles are locked on targets and standing by, sir." The lieutenant reported

"Commence the firing sequence. Continuous battery waves until they are shot down or surrender." The Fleet Admiral ordered

"Commencing firing sequence..." The tactical officer said

"The pods came to life as multiple missiles were ignited and launched in swarm formations, leaving green traces behind their paths. Upon seeing the incoming danger locked onto their bombers, the hostile pilots began to evade them by reaching higher speeds, maintaining a long distance between them and the Dauntless.

The fight went on for 20 minutes, when suddenly a capital ship entered the sector. Quickly it was found out that the ship was the expected SCV Executor, commanded by Admiral Blaqk. However, despite of the additional support, the bombers continued to evade the missiles. This went on for a while until another capital ship appeared.

Aboard the SCV Executor

Red alert was on across the ship, with the crew moving fast, focused with the task at hand. Inside the battle-hardened bridge, suddenly the sensor officer reported:

"Admiral Blaqk! A Trident has appeared on sensors! It's... It's a rogue Serco capital ship, commanded by the traitor veteran Grandpa Wash!"

Blaqk immediately turned to the communications officer and said:

"Open a channel with the Dauntless, I want to speak to the Fleet Admiral now."

The comms officer responded:

"It's on, sir."

The Admiral then said:

"Piment, sir, a rogue Serco Trident has jumped into the sector and is heading for us."

Piment, while sitting in his chair overlooking a tactical display, asked:

"Is it Wash?"

"Yes, sir. And I suggest we engage him together."

"Very well Admiral, what do you suggest?"

Blaqk turned on his tactical display that was linked with the Dauntless and began transmitting a maneuver. He said as the Dauntless received the transmission:

"As you can see, we can overpower him with hit and run tactics, going back and forth while bombarding him with a missile barrage, effectively evading the fire from his known frontal railguns."

And so the two Tridents began to coordinate their strike, going on full speed towards the incoming enemy capital ship. Both ships began opening their swarm salvos and then split ways, with the Dauntless going port side and the Executor going starboard side. The rogue Serco Trident lost its shields in the first attack one, proving the strategy to be successul at first as both SkyCommand ships weren't harmed.

As the Executor took on the enemy with its full missile loadout, the Dauntless switched between its missiles and its powerful railgun turret cannons. Despite of the efforts of the veteran traitor, the two coordinating vessels were barely touched, while the hostile capship took heavy damage. In half an hour, it was forced to retreat out of the sector, along with the bomber pilots which were scared by how the two Tridents quickly overpowered Wash, which was known for his dangerous frontal railgun weapon.

The crews of both ships celebrated the victory, opening several bottles of Ale and Deneb Rum. This was a great victory against the rogue Serco guild [ONE] and their internationalist Greyspace puppets, and the first of many to come.

You forgot the part where you exited space when 3 ONE tridents logged on.

That's besides the point,You lost a trident. This is RP not,"you logged off lul!". You cannot log off from real life can you?

A significant victory.

Heil Dame Serco!

You should write one about how you had 4 members, 2 with tridents and 1 in a Goli, and got ran out by 3 ONE members in 2 tridents and an SCP.

um no I didn't lose a trident.

All the ONE members have not performed any nationalism. In fact, they seem to be working with the Itani! Look at Deneb. You will see Serco winning only due to SC players. SC has also been targeting Itan and working closely to eradicate the Itani Nation, including new players.

Note that I am only solely interested in Serco Nationalism against the Itani Nation. I am merely pointing out that ONE has not lived up to their name. I am not taking sides in this forum battle.

P.S: I WAS THE LIEUTENANT

Wash didn't lose a Trident because he didn't have the honor or the balls to stay and fight, so he ran.

Yeah sorry, but I had to log along with some members as we were playing for quite a while. You know, real life exists. I'm sure that if we were to stay, your other comrades and yourself would have suffered the same fate as you did before in O-12.

Now, back into RP.

SkyCommand will continue to actively target ONE even further as traitors to the Serco nations, being just as disgusting as the Itani and other internationalists themselves, do not have the right to remain alive.

Victory to the Dominion!

" he didn't have the honor or the balls"

Where are yours when its just 1v1 in dents? At least I came out and fought which is more than I can say for you anytime I find your Trident by itself..

You HAVE been asking for a 2v1 CvC for a couple of days, you got one and you had a good bit of help. You lot have no problem ganking us, or claiming victory with superior numbers while we are logging off/line, don't complain when real nationalists retaliate.

Your [AQLA] allies(Many of which are Itani) don't seem to be doing much better, perhaps you should go back to waiting until we're asleep to go hunting with your fellow tribesmen, it's a lot more effective than sitting on a relay all day.

No wonder people are abandoning the old guilds, it must be pretty hard having to deal with Voidance, er I mean "Vex Blackout" in ONE now. AQLA is looking more and more like the newest addition to the guild federation. I'm sure it won't backfire like it did for the 13 guilds before them.

SkyCommand will continue to amass troops and arms, the road to ending this cycle of hatred starts with your public executions.

It's going to be pretty hard to do that hiding behind a IRC or Discord relay.
