Sometime around July 2002. I think.
It was a very small "universe" there were only a few ships, and the only weapons
were red, green and blue lasers & ions. I remember "Charles Manson" was my arch nemesis. Aside from his constantly ambushing me, he was a really decent

In June 2002. I remember to have gained 1000000 crédits without
killed a bot or trading ; simply the bots kill me many times and i win a lot of money

umm ... september 2002 also i think (space was a lot smaller so the fighting was more fun, more enemies!) ... i remember there was this guy that gave me lots of credits, so i could buy better ships and weapons ... I liked it better back then. More fighting with real players ... not bots

i joined right about now:) since it's my first post i'd like to welcome everyone:) hope ur having good time with vendetta, cause that's what i'm gonna have also:)
Let's see.... I can't remember when the heck I joined, but I've ALWAYS been CrippledPidgeon. If you see anyone in any game playing as CrippledPidgeon, it's probably me.
In any rate, I started out when there were only three systems, and you were lucky to see one other person playing. And the Deathmatch system had some sort of funky time limit during which you whacked at the other player(s) as many times as you could before the level reset.
And then I got bored and left for a while. Came back and there were 9 systems! Wow.... CTF was awesome... I think Takumi Fujiwara and (something) Panda were my friends at the time. We'd raid yellow's flag as often as we could...
And I got busy with school and left for a while. Came back and there were (how many?) 16 (?) systems. Wow... No CTF, though... bummer.
And I got busy with school and left for a while. Came back cuz I got word that (a) my account was going to be deleted, and (b) because the beta was looking for people. Got into the game, got Vlad to give me 200k credits, and then everything was rest for the Beta...

Cant remember dates, version numbers, even some of the first players names have become forgotten...
My first memory of vendetta was flying out of the station in the bus, and thinking errrrm, right, what now then? I flew in circles round the station for a few moments, and headed straight into sector 12 *Big mistake, heard a few beeps, died....* - a few hours later im trading, and earning, and running like hell, and dying lots.... It wasnt until (forgot name, sorry...) flew up to me and asked Do you need cash? If you do you have to follow me and distract the bots for me that i actually spoke to anybody!.... (this was about 6 months into the game)My first real mission... kool ;)--==# I got a million credits for dying, and he made it! This was my first hint about hidden sectors, as this guy had flown into a rock, avoiding loads of shots, and theres me *pop* - i hung around long enough just to see him warp...
(please bring back 14 devs ;p)
UncleDave is probably the first helpful person I met, gave me a million credits i didnt want...lol
The first person who i felt stalked by was alienb.... As someone who's been around, i understand station camping...lol, and I was a bugger to catch in open space (still am...) but as the then n00b i was... omg, grief was not the word, I soon learned to run like hell if alienb was around... ;) but at the same time, it made me determined to learn how to fight.... im not the best combat pilot in the world, but at least now i hold my own....lol

No offense to the new testers, but I won't be adding you :D. It would be too much editing work :S, and it would really make this list long, and complicated to navigate and find someone in.

Sometime in the summer of 2003. I was looking for something to play on my Mac that was Elite-ish, and Vega Strike wasn't really cutting it. I saw this game mentioned somewhere, and tried it out. I only played every once in a while (unlike some of these die-hard vets, heh), and eventually stopped. I never really got very good at it, sadly, and I haven't won a PvP encounter yet :( The game has recently been getting a lot more interesting, though, so I'll probably be around more often.

We were a bunch of people from a Mac forum, playing just because any online game for Mac is worth testing (are there more than Vendetta? ) First things I remember were running from s12 bots and, once in my first Wraith, being nuked by a NT player who was on the way to s2. Must have been Banana...
All he said was "learn how to group your weapons" and I was totally mad and didn't play for the following 2 days.
Helpful: Hmm, first names coming to my mind: Toshiro and Phoenix.
Toshiro because he teached me some "advanced" fighting stuff, like rolling and strafing (never used physics before).
Phoenix just because he chased me around, so I always tried to get better and to avoid being killed every 10 minutes.
Later, there was The flying banana who teached me solo capping, which soon became my main income.

My original character was vImbe' (of the Serco). After a reset I created several characters: vImbe' Serco, vImbe' Itani, and vImbe NT.
Most recently, I've appeared in game as Roberto Komercisto and my brother's character Aiglos. Cya in game!!!
Aiglos has now moved his character to his own brand-new account!!! Yay!
