There is a horrible affliction affecting a large portion of the Vendetta community, a disease that scientists are calling Vendettaitis. This life-threatening disease has symptoms similar to insomnia - the inability of the player to fall asleep. Some think that this is in direct correlation to a player's inability to leave the Vendetta universe for more than several hours at a time, however it is unproven. The longer a player has been infected by Vendettaitis, the worse the symptoms become, and fortunately there is no known cure.

So if your parents, spouse, or other loved ones complain that you spend far too much time playing that "silly space game," you can truthfully reply that you are BIOLOGICALLY UNABLE TO STOP PLAYING.

There are cures :).

Constantly /explode when in an expensive ship, to exahust your credits

Become KOS on all factions
DESTROY your vendetta account

ect...

But if you are extremely sick, you will always find a way back into the game. When you reach this point, you are incurable.... even if we strip you of your computer, you will mindlessly sit are your desk, pretending like your computer is stil there, occasionally screaming <insert renoun pirate's name here> when he steals his cargo.
