RL meeting in Germany

Hi,

I've noticed that lots of players (at least 10) are living comparetively near - just about 100 km or so.

So - my idea would be to organize a RL meeting, just drink a few beers together :-)

My suggestion would be Oberhausen - Centro, it's quite central, lots of pubs, very easy to get there.

Comments?

This is a really good idea.

The question is: when?

Yes, it actually is...

I'd be there, if we could do that at the beginning of august or later, July is full of test for me.

Oberhausen would be ok for even though I would have chosen Duesseldorf...

Yours Jens (Superdog)

Ps: By the way - warum sprechen wir hier eigentlich englisch...

You know, what the hardest thing is? When you continue to speak/write English for a while, you start to think english - and you have to force yourself to speak/understand German again - it's like a toggle switch :-)

Pyro: don't you dare touching my switch! :)

Back to on-topic: it's up to you - I'd suggest a friday or saturday.. we should be able to find a suitable date.

The real problem is us english speakers, whos second or third language is german and we gotta flip the switch to understand yall in game and on the boards ;)

But this is a thread for german people, so nobody who doesn't understand it very good must speak it...
So this shouldn't be a problem for the english people...

We could meet in October as well (again... :-)

And what you (dragos) said was something like:
"I said, when it was spoken in game, it appears often, to have loose helpful information. too bad meet you don't in october, she is, when I'm in germany. sad, when my german an edge off is (didn't even understand that...). it was two years ago, when I it needed to use."

Was quite funny to read, even though my english must be quite the same... :-(

What it should have looked like:

Hope I could help you. You could tell us, where in germany u will be in october.

And by the way, we don't share too much information when speakin' german in-game, it's just fooling around a bit...

baba

I tried to translate it without adjusting the grammar, and using a 20 year old coursebook as my dictionary for those i couldnt remember(about half of them)

im sure it seemed quite funny, but as for information, ive gotten locations of people and all just from reading what yall have written, I must admit it makes it easy to track down griefers at times(meaning like the EiG, not yall)

Last time i had to use german was to introduce someone, way too long ago for that. English, doesnt have many verbs that change according to gender, which always throws me off.

Ugala ir jyoult.(no, thats not german, but a cookie to the first person that can translate that... yes, I know exactly what it means)

Also, ill be in Berlin

I remember when one of these was gonna be in the USA, possibly at/near the guildsoft hq a while ago. It should be interesting to see if you Germanish people can pull it off. :D
