Easy way to test if base or acid: Drop some Baking Soda(a base) in and see if it bubbles....Milk and baking soda react just like Vinegar and baking soda, although much less Violently

and yes I am serious, milk IS an acid

just make sure you have lactose in your milk, it won't work otherwise ;)
