Can we sell this yet?

Months ago, I talked to raybondo after the Latos N2 market was introduced that allowed ship selling. I had a few deals going for ships that were outdated (Super Awesome New Edition Vultures, Wraiths Mk1-3 etc.). But when selling those ships to the station, they would disappear instead of going on the sell list. raybondo said this was caused by the fact that they had not set a defined price for them anymore. He called them "undefined" items or something.

I was told that this would be fixed soon, as it didn't only extend to ships, if I remember correctly. Many items with value don't have a set price and would therefore disappear if sold. So the devs started fixing this by adding a sell-block to all undefined items but I never heard if they fully fixed it by adding prices.

Well, its been a few months and when mentioning this as a side note in another thread, I think it was overlooked.
Did you fix it fully yet? I am scared to try!

Uhm..

Honestly this seems more like a suggestion since the N-2 economy is still in it's promordial stages. I assume this happens with hive drops and manufacturables as well?

Probably happens to them too, yeah.

Why would it be a suggestion? This is a dynamic economy test. If all other items but a small group of items can be sold but some can't, it's obviously a bug!

The bug was that selling it to the station caused it to vanish from existence.

We fixed that, back around the time of release, by adding the sell-block on undefined items.

When we dropped in the Latos N2 station, we didn't quite now how it would work. But this was not a specifically intended feature. The goal was just to make a different dynamic economy for whatever we could, whatever "worked" out of the box.

If you want to suggest enhancements and expansions of the dynamic economy, or anything in the game, you don't do that in Bugs. I really don't care if you consider the lack-of-something to be a "bug", this isn't the semantic debate forum.

Also, regardless of an impression that Ray may give at any point, it's up to me to determine how we spend our development time. Even in the case of fixes that are "simple", there can be a lot of testing required, which can be quite time consuming. This is one of those cases. Obviously we released it the first time with the ability to take your products and make them magically disappear.
