The profit number only goes up for items that you buy and sell directly in the capship's hold. You have to trade capital station to capital station.

I mine ships full of ore and sell it to station that should count ?

Trade profit (not just profit) probably uses the same metric as the trading badge - you have to actually have purchased the item you're selling for it to count. Mined ores would not count for this.

No.. Trade Profit is a stat determined by the difference between content that you buy and content that you sell.

Generating something new, like mining, or manufacturing, is not the same as Trade.

Asking for another stat, around mining revenue or something, is reasonable, but that's a subject for Suggestions.

This is not a bug, and will not be "fixed".
