I had vendetta time out 3 times before the sever went down today, now I wont let me log in, it just hangs :(

*sigh* It's the same issue eveyone is having with the new server. Patience. It's probably not necessary to post each time there is a server problem for the next couple of days.

The new server hardware install went well, and the new machine seems to be stable and fast. However, the Vendetta server code has been experiencing some instabilities, causing it to crash pretty often. Some of the problems have now been fixed (one being a bug in Linux, discovered after the OS switch), others are currently being tracked down. We're valgrinding the production server right now, and we expect to have the major issues sorted out shortly. Thanks for your patience.

I cant seem to log in either, ive tried 10 times atleast, so ill try to be patient and wait but if it takes too long, bye bye computer : P

Didn't you just hear what FM said? It's the server, and it's going to be on and off like this for a few days, because they haven't completely set up the new hardware and software.

Thats why i said ill be patient

I suspect that the Active Players list does not get updated during a server crash. I think you are seeing a list of who was on BEFORE the server went down, but cannot log in because the server is actually down and nobody is actually playing.

Hmm, it seems that i cant connect when there is alot of ppl on. I hope that that would be fixed too

yea, what FM said. I was on (banana) when it chrashed and I was listed as active for hours after...

What FM suspects is true. :)
