Today I haven't been able to connect. 1/3 of the time it's able to check for updates correctly.

I _did_ install a new firewall/router yesterday, but it worked last night.

System OSX 10.3.3 Dual 1.25Ghz G4

No idea what's causing this, I am correctly set to DMZ.

I can't connect either. I'm currently on a Windows XP system.

Looks like the game server is down. Since the update server is separate from the game server, that may explain why you're able to go through the updater but not the game. Anyway, I lost connection during a wormhole jump to sector 12 at around 1 or 2pm EST.

Yes, the server is down due to a temporary power outage in our temporary colo.

I hope there will be multiple server locations to prevent this from happening with the pay version.

Should have a battery UPS to protect against minor outages and a diesel genny for when the UPS gives out.... Not cheap though, and they never work as planned...

The game server is currently down. A circuit breaker blew in our temporary colo facility, resulting in a power outage that outlasted our UPS. Additionally, the high temperature in the room might'ave killed the harddrives. Not sure yet. We'll have it back online this evening if at all possible.
