My internet connection uses an HTTP proxy with user authentication. Only Port 80 is open. Is there any way i can play Vendetta on this connection?

Most internet applications such as Yahoo Messenger and MSN allow me access through this proxy. Can I expect Vendetta to support this sometime in the future? Or, is there some work-around I could use?

I've gone into Vendetta withdrawal in the past few months...

most likely the updater can be made to work with the proxy. However you won't ever be able to play the game through a HTTP proxy. No chance. you can (yes, i've seen code to do it) tunnel UDP packages through HTTP, however the latency involved? It'd be completely unplayable.

If it can be done, I'm interested. I'm used to playing with a latency of 1000ms+. Here, I'm sitting on a 4mbps pipe, so I think the latency won't be that bad.

Can you show me the code etc. on how to make it work?

google some for IP over HTTP and so on.
You can even do it with SMTP. *wry smile*
