Trackers respawn as SF bots
The subject pretty much says it all... when you kill the tracker a new SF shows up in the sector.
Also this probably isn't a bug... but it's now impossible to eliminate an entire Strike Force. You should at least be able to kill them in one sector and a new group wouldn't be sent out until you entered a new monitored sector, or jumped with part of the force still alive.

Why?
Why?
Eliminating the Tracker bot should prevent more SF bots from joining the carnage until you pass through another guarded sector and another Tracker follows you.
How do the SF bots know where you are without the uber fast tracker to keep tabs on you?

Indeed, killing off an entire strike force would leave a so called "safe" zone unprotected. If some high level players are determined to make a raid, they could at least assign one group to continually supress the strike force while the other group kills off the players.
Thanks for the report on the tracker respawning as a SF... I'll look into it.
The purpose of the tracker is to be able to find you quickly and report when you jump to a new sector. You can only see a player's jump destination if you're within 1000m of them when they jump, and the strike force isn't always fast enough to do that.
But they ALL have communications devices, so if one dies, of course they'll call for reinforcements.
