Group Life Window

Nov 08, 2004 johnhawl218 link
When I was in a group this weekend the window that normally show's me the breakdown of damage on my ship was changed to a column of life bars for every member of the group. When the group mission was done, and all the members of the group had disbanded, the window that normally holds my ship image and weight/credits stayed in the group format and did not return to the standard. Only once I signed out and back in again did it return. Not a major issue but something I think should be looked at.

I currently am playing on a MacOSX 10.3.6 Panther Quicksilver G3

Even if all the other members of the group leave, that doesn't automatically make you leave the group as well. You also have to explicitly leave the group, and then your normal ship status window will return.

that's lame, if everyone has left the group, your in a group by yourself?!!?!?!?!?! DUMB, terminate the group when everyone is gone!!

It's not necessarily dumb; You need to be able to make a group by yourself so that others can join it. All you have to do is type /group leave

I have to disagree with you both, until there is more then one person nothing is a "group". You could be the initiator of a group, but until someone joins it should not be consideered a group. And to force someone to remove themselves from a group that no one is in IS dumb.

and for the record, for the incident that I refered to in my original statement, I DID remove myself from the group, I was the second of 4 in group to leave.

I think we're missing the important command here...

/hudmode

Changes between health bar and ship status window.

yea.. I borrowed that bind from roguelazer, but I couldn't remember what the actual command was.

Just for the sake of argument:
I often find myself the last one in a group, and usually want the group to remain, simply to not terminate a mission, and to be able to invite others.

Most of the time, groups are there to be of help when coordinating players, more than to do botting. More fun in a group. :)

i second that.
another reason is that sometimes you just need to "group bot alone" :) at least for variety

actually if you press p you should be able to switch between the group life bar and your personal status/hull images.
