Ok say we took some bots that would like be stationed in some sector and when they caught you speeding the catch up to you and give you a "ticket" so after you have x amount of tickets then you would have to pay a fine. we could post them round stations and such. they could also give tickets to pirates ^^

I don't see any reason to have them give out speeding tickets, but they'd be nice to have around to make piracy a bit less profitable.

Agreed. It's time for a police force. I know that A1k0n can make the bots run races in circles around S10's main roid, and he said he could make them jumble together to spell words in space. So how about making some police bots that go after PKers? Of course, they'd need to be tougher, far tougher than average ships, perhaps even driving blue Prometheuses with red and blue lights.

No, they don't really need to be tougher than regular bots. I think that the goal would be to make life more difficult for pirates, not impossible. Having the occasional pirate around makes things more interesting, but the professions should be limited to the exceptionally skilled, daring or stupid, and members of the third group shouldn't have very long careers.
