Greetings and questions
Greets from a new player. I just found this game and since I'm an old Privateer fan I found it to be rather enjoyable. I've been trying to bone up on the forums for information about the direction the game is headed and for the most part have liked what I've seen discussed.
I mainly wanted to ask about the ship designs. I noticed most of the newer implimented ships such as the TPG Constellation Heavy Transport, Teradon Frigate, Raptor and EC have a common theme to them which I like a lot. My question is will the Itani, and Serco have their own themed ships as well? My hope is that they could be uniquely different from the designs of the TPG yet be just as graphically industrial. I've liked the different designs that Eve Online (sorry for using the E word, be nice!) has with their races. I think thats a good illistration of how ships can look way different for each race and still be cool. Again its only the idea of it and in no way am I saying to use their ship designs as a base for yours. My other concern is do you have any soon to be implimented plans to redesign the Centurion, Vulture, Warthog, Hornet, Wraith, Atlas, Centaur, Ragnarok, Behemoth, Valkyrie, Marauder, Prometheus, Trident Light Frigate, aaand the Heavy Assault Cruiser. Most of these ships seam to have a design that clashes with the design of the latest ships. At any rate, I'm intrigued by what you have done and hope to add what I can to help out.
There are other things I'd like to see improved as well but I've noticed they've been touched on in one way or another so I'll spare my thoughts for now. Looking forward to it all!

Concerning different ship designs...
I hope they keep all the old designs around. Just go outside and look on the street, what do you see? Old cars and new ones all driving around together. Now ain't that sweet. VO would be a more interesting place when they keep the old designs around alongside new ones for variety, nostalgia, continuity and believability of the gameworld, as opposed to changing everything to a new uniform design. Sure bring the new design to market, but the buyer decides...
Not to say every station should sell every old ship that ever existed, on the contrary, it would be so great to have certain stations deal extensively in 'vintage' craft!! So we can have the occasional "re-enacted living-history bus battle" :)
Anyway just dumping an older ship altogether is a mistake IMHO.
