Will there be more nations/races in the final version of the game?

May 13, 2003 Dagger link
I think red, blue and gold is a bit boring... I mean,
it's just red, blue and gold, right?

Why not The Bounty Hunters, The Guild of Syndicate (pirates) and the Traders?

That would make the game more fun...
Eh.. this is kinda difficult to explain, especially if you just have two minutes.

Red/Blue/Gold are legacies of the deathmatch era of the Vendetta Test.

The official names of the three factions are the Itani, the Serco, and the Neutral Territories. These factions represent nations each of which is vast enough to encompass many trading companies, professional guilds, pirates syndicates, criminal organizations, secret societies, military units, private corporations, and so forth.

A small ammount of information about this universe has been released:

/me watches this post fly to the Suggestions board.

Dagger, we have (Taken from the history page):

"The Serco, once peaceable scientists who pursued their interests for the benefit of all mankind, now a formidable, warlike race, feared throughout the known galaxy. The Itani, formerly the aggressors responsible for countless wartime horrors, now a wise and benevolent people, haunted by their dark past. The Neutral Territories, a loosely knit Nation of corporations, merchants and explorers (not to mention smugglers and pirates), now clinging to life in the more hostile regions of deep space."

Also we have in the NPC nation, the Green, which are hostile to everyone, and the Aliens, which are the Frigate's fighter wing.

The devs have said they will be adding support for what's basically the equivalent of clans (guilds). Patience, my friend.

EDIT: Celebrim, you're fast! :-p
