engion = ultra heavy cap ship only. max speed 40 no turbo.
batery = ultra heave cap ship only. max charg 20k. very slow recarge rate.
shild genrator = cannot recharg battery when activ.
2 docking bays to reapir fighters
cargo bays used for holding atack ships or standerd cargo max of 5 defence ships or 30 cargo.

can hold 5 heavy whepions and 5 light weapons.

when shilds are hit they take from your battery power the so if the attack does 1 k damage you lose 1k power. 0 battery power means your shilds are down and you have to let your battery recgarge and probly taking alot of damage by then. better have some defence out there by then. of cousrse using your turets take power to.

oh and max hall would probly be around 20k to. and the shilds dont drain battery power they are activ just dont let you recharge when activ. also it cant dock all repais have to be done by the crew witch takes time. witch means if they attack you again befor you finish repairing/recgarging you nice exensiv ships does up in a nice ball of flames.

it makes a nice strong ship but also keeps it pretty well balenced. they may do something stronger or weaker then im saying but its just what i think it should be like. at least how this game is currently. now if you wanna a real ship put those specs to 100k but tht would make it relly hard to take down then you would need a cap vs cap battle with fighters tto take someting like that down.

Note: I'm not flaming/trolling, just an objective criticism.

1. I think they can do without shields--since there aren't sheilds in the game yet, I don't see why a cap ship would need 'em.

2. Scrap the entire weapon load out you posted. Include the option for ONE EXTRA-Heavy energy weapon, something that basically fires a charge equivalent to an Avalon balanced so that you'd have to drain your recharge twice against an enemy cap ship, and place a number of hardpoints for turrets. Then create a varriety of turret loadouts, including point defenses for torps, missle launchers that draw from a central armory. And just like the Frig, make the turrets targetable. Perhaps even include a few "addons" that can be placed on the hardpoints that would give the ship enhancements to speed, manuverability, cargo, defensive drone launcher, etc., but can be targeted and eliminated.

3. Give the ship one docking bay, and treat it like a base, but with a dynamic economy--the ship has a built in need for commodities such as water, food, and fuels, and user selectable hull attachments might be able to refine ore, purify water, salvage damaged ship components, etc. In the future, if the Devs keep the posted in-game mission requirements, a Cap ships AI would be able to generate transport missions for needed resources, and post to an intergalactic bazzar what resources it offers.

We in the community appreciate suggestions, but they really should go into the suggestions forum.

And if you had read for a while in the suggestions forum you would have realized that this has been gone over in quite abit of depth already with lots of good ideas from dozens of players - and not just a little input from the devs on where they plan to take the game. You might try reading a few threads and even digging through the archives to see all the various ideas that have been thought up and what the devs desire for their game.

Anyway, this will get moved soon I'm sure.

hey i just posted what i think it should be like ideas are always welcome. personaly i bet they will have servrel diffrent cap ships in the end. probly using alot of are ideas for the diffrent types. i metiond sheilds for a cap ship couse it would make them alot harder to take down. if you spend lets say 1 mil on one you dont whant someone with a fighter blast it in pices in 5 sec.
