There should not be so many cargoes that cost more than the ships that transport them. One or two every now and then, but a single unit of Sedina chocolate costs more than most of the ships in the game, and that's absurd.

I think it has to do with how rare the item is. After all, a diamond is more expensive than a bike...

I wouldn't worry about ship prices.

From what I understand a dynamic market is in VO's future. Hopefully this means players will construct and set the prices of ships.

The market will always do a better job of pricing than a centrally planned economy could.
