The Serco and Itani both have multiple variants of their top level nation ship. I propose that the Small port variant be reintroduced. As well as a variant with 1 small port and 1 large port.

So does the UIT. You have three different Raptors to chose from. Sure, only one is worth actually using, but that's no different from the situation with the Sky Prom. If anything, it's the Itani who are the outlier with both the X-1 and IDF Vigilant being useful ships.

Not that I would mind if the UIT had more Raptors flying around. Don't really care.

+1 to this as there is no Large Port neutron weapon, also UIT does get the shit end of the stick when it comes to ships compared to Serco/Itan plus selfishly I have never had the small port UDV and I think it would rip ass with a couple of LENBs

I'm sorry but this thread is so utterly pointless and wrong. Just flat out wrong, for two reasons:

1. You cannot "bring back" something that never existed in the first place. There was no small port version of UDV, ever.

2. There are already two non-UDV raptors with small ports, like Tripod pointed out so tenderly above.

I’m pretty sure the UDV was originally two small ports as reflected by it’s license requirements and the fact that YT has a couple still.

It would easily rip more ass with the Mposi. Its statistically better in MANY ways compared to the lenb.
Not to mention, this would basically make it the Warthog Territorial Defender, the minor faction specific ship of the UIT (IBG for Itani, SVG for Serco). Both the Prom and Valk get a hardpoint upgrade from their minor specifics. The Prom gets an L port an the valk gets another S port. As of now, the UDV gets its S port upgraded to an L port, as compared to the WTD. So no, don't give the UDV an S port. Mposis are way better than lenbs anyways.

The LENB is a higher DPS weapon making the following statement null and void:

so I believe the suggestions is for 3 UDV variants:
UDV-A : two large ports
UDV-B : two small ports
UDV-C : 1 small port & 1 Large port

Lower license no nation limited ships have no bearing on the suggestion as many of you seem to want to make it. Leveling the Top Tier exclusivity between UIT and the other nations does.

I don't see the need to give UIT more combat ships, being traders and all.

Statistically, the megaposi is better than the LENB. Not to mention, it has an ever-so-slightly larger shot.
Don't bullshit me and tell me that 85 extra DPS is worth 25 more energy per second. 85 extra damage per hit extra barely changes the outcome of a fight.

PS SVG is literally cheeks. IBG is better.

SVG is the minor Serco faction-specific ship.
IBG is the minor Itani faction-specific ship.
WTD Is the minor UIT faction-specific ship.

and the SVG is the most overrated of them all.

It is not an argument of megaposi vs LENB. Each are effective in their own right.

Large port unguided rockets are far harder to use in pvp than small port unguided rockets.

SVG is turbo top end 225, turbo drain 55. A far better chaser than the IBG, and the IBG is virtually duplicated by the Orion Rev-C.

Only a fool of a UIT would have +600 Itani standing to get the IBG, when they could instead have +600 Serco standing and get the SVG and Rev-C.
