A new command with similar behavior as the /guild motd command, except don't post it every time you log in. Call it /guild desc or something like that. Have it as the first thing you see under the guild tab, followed by the motd, then the rest of the guild information.

This would allow guilds to have an in game way to have a description of their guild for new members. It can even be used to most guild rules or policies that can be referenced in the future. Basically anything you'd put on the guild page on the VO website could go there. Bonus points if this /guild desc command can be linked to the actually website description as well.

The motd can sort of already be used for this purpose, but it gets displayed every time you log in. Using the motd for this purpose also makes it difficult to actually use it for a real motd.

So, longer term reference information about the given guild, that's expected to be more static than the MOTD.

I have no problem with that.

I do also have a whole bunch of other guild-related functionality I'd like to add before long, which I'll post to other thread(s), but will aim to include this as part of the guild development period.
