Groups - Slight Expansion Request

1. Remove friendly fire from between members of groups, and allow that group to attack any nation (or disregard the latter request and keep the former)

2. If the 'x' key is pressed (closest hostile), disable the targeting of a group member from another nation.

3. Allow group players to "share" radar between them, if you will. As of now, you can target group members anywhere in a sector (even if 49km away). Perhaps radar could be linked? An interesting twist is to require a heavy ship to be the communication center.

I particularly like number three. This would allow for variations on deep sector exploration.

Say 4 friends want to get together and map the distance between the centers of the wormholes in say, sector 7. They can't do this by using the HUD markers. So what they do is have the first player sit in the center of sc40 wormhole, and using extremely high zoom ratings, they move off from each other until they are in a line, each player the maximum distance on teh radar from the two others surrounding him/her in the line.

Diagram: A----------------B----------------C----------------D

the players must also make sure they are going in a straight line towards the center of the other wormhole, say the sc10 wormhole. If the distance between C and the wormhole center is less than the max range of the radar, then D simply goes just that far. A targets B, B targets C, and C targets D. they add their distance values, and then you have your answer.

yes, number three is very interesting. however, i think that the extension of the radar range should only work if the other ship's radar "sphere" is intersecting with my own, so that my radar range could be boosted by 6km max. this to keep it somewhat realistic.

or give some heavy ships the special ability to actually relay radar info via the group channel (so to speak) and by that means give the whole group all the "spheres" of team members that are in the sector.
