The Supplemental Super Capacitor is a LP addon that adds 1000 capacity to a capital ship. Energy for capital weapons and jumps is first drained from the capacitor before the powercell is touched. The capital ship can jump right away with a full powercell and an empty capacitor.
Power cell blasters can not directly drain the capacitor. Instead the capacitor fills the power cell on the fly when it(the powercell) is being drained.
25 grid. 52/s charge rate.
This will give a capital ship pilot a little more margin of error when it comes to self defense. Though the high grid means they may have to leave some turrets at home, and they lose their large port.
