Hive escalation Response

This is another suggestion to help mitigate large scale farming from capital ships.

Once a large number of hive have been killed in a short period of time in a single sector, the hive should send out an observer (even if it is a collector sector). This response would not be triggered for normal farming activities.

If the observer does not report back, or observes a large number of farmers/capships/what have you, then hive deploys an assault force to fix the problem. This force would consist of assaults, guardians (with pcbs), and if the threat is large enough, even overseers). Each pilot in the sector would get their own set of of assaulting hive. Each turret on a capital ship would also get a set of attacking hive. Making afk farming in a capital ship far more dangerous.

This sounds like it could be lots of fun. I say go for it.

Yeah, I've been considering this for years (well, variations on this, the specifics aren't that important).

There are technical issues in the way, like not all bots are operated by the same code.

But, it would be useful to me to hear continued feedback about the concept in general.

Milanar guardians against cappies sound scary... considering dent can barely survive being hammered by pcb and a dozen of bots, but anyway.
This sounds fun, and I would gladly test my endurance and push dents/golis to their limits. But please also give some chance for the capship to escape, so dont throw a dozen of pcb guardians and overseers on us.
Like even could go like this:
After a certain amount of bots were killed, a tier 1 hive strike force would attack. Like 4 assaults on a dent. Kill more to spawn the tier 2. Three assaults and a guardian without pcb. If u kill too many bots tier 3 comes. Two assaults, two overseers and two guardians, one with pcb, and one arklan/orne.

These could progress like waves. Also the observer could determine what type of ship you use, and send a strike force accordingly. The above example rougly describes it, and applies to tridents.

This would be utter fun, and also give some interesting parts to the hive.
