A few of us are talking and we've decided that a big guild playing monoply would be less exploit if they had to wait 20 minutes for a alt switch, so players like this wouldn't be able to easily defend much stations by switching. That would make it fair to the rest of us. No player playing the game correctly will be frowned upon.

Everyone has 6 alt slots for a reason. It isn't like the playing field isn't leveled on that.

In addition, it would be a simple matter of creating another completely separate account with 6 additional slots to get around the proposed limitation, which would, in effect, double your troubles since the people you're upset with beating your now have 12 slots. Or more.

This would also punish people on bad connections who get disconnected from the server regularly, and it would also punish ME, since I tend to log in and out when developing my plugins.

If you seriously think an actual exploit is going on, perhaps outlining the specific exploit first would be more productive, as you aren't clear as to WHAT is being exploited. Without that, there's no easy way to have a proper discussion about fixing the issue (not that I really think there is one)

People using alts to serve the interest of one main is common and acceptable. If you want to fight it out, do this yourself. Match fire with fire. It's not an exploit, it's not like you doing it will get you in trouble with the Devs. The defenders went through the trouble, as less as it is, of leveling and placing an alt at all the stations. You can do so as well.

As SkinWalker said, placing a limit on alt switching on the same account would just result in people creating multiple accounts. The same applies to limiting every account to one character. Creating accounts is no big deal. I don't see how it solves the "problem" described in the OP.

What's the problem with this anyways? I don't see anything but a benefit for me cause I have someone to play with everywhere. I don't see how you are proposing this as a problem at all. People having alts at a station for faster defending isn't a bad thing at all.

Even if they didn't have alts placed, it would take only a few minutes to reach there.

Alts are part of VO and in my opinion the best part of VO.
It just means I use one character per account. And... not being able to switch characters quickly would be damaging to roleplayers who just want to play a diversity of characters.
