GTS lacks certain letters.

I think it would be a nice feature for ships to have our names below the cockpits in GTS. Reason: it would look cool

I know what you meant. But could you really read GTS going by somebody at 180ms ? you would need them to sit still and unless you are very good at it translate it which would take a long long time.

I would like to see one or two little GTS characters painted on the side of ships as a sort of decal or avatar. It would be nice and add character and individuality to the ships.

Then we'll substitute Kanji or something.

For example, if you name happens to be Magus (Wise Man) we can get pictograph characters that mean "Wise Man." Or somesuch.

So would we get a kanji character to represent some drunk, rag-claden vagabond?

Why not place the players name above the ship. Like player names in UT.

The GTS on a player's ship should be so damn easy to implement it's not funny.

i dont know if that's sarcasm or not. I just want it cause it would be cool for high end peoples. Have em like the names on US fighters

You know what else would be cool. When someone warps into a sector, if it would show a giant GTS sign of their names in front of their warp animation.

Imagine a capping fleet warping in. Waylonics all over the place.

Maybe you can go to s18 and set your 'GTS' sign there, you get a typical game-console like input screen, where you have to use mouse/joystick/whatever to select the characters...

I'd rather see paint schemes or decals added. I'd have a white skull or something down the side of my valk. What would be really cool is if we got little insignia for every ship we killed (players, not bots) underneath the cockpit, just like WWII fighters and bombers. These would be erased everytime you die.

There could be a pool of 30-40 different basic schemes for each nation (I'm thinking really simple) to choose from in an extra tab in the station. Official guilds could submit their own insignia or wing colours to the update server, which after being checked by a guide, were included in a weekly update as an extra option (i believe that the update program already has this capacity). They would have to be small tho, maybe 20-30k total? This way the extra information sent when a sector loads or a player jumps into a sector would be minimal, just a few extra bits per ship.

Do you know how many different insignias the guide would have to go through... jesus, you would need a full time staff once the game goes gold just to check the icons.

If it was only official guilds that could add them, and if guilds were made, well, hard to create? I doubt so...
