user owned teritory and bots?

Don't know if many people would like this idea and it would defenetelly require alot of work, but how about letting users purchase some kind of teritory? Station or planet or something like that, purpose is purely station: allowing others to trade in it, maybe manufacture something using raw materials and sell it. Maybe even extend it to manufacturing custom ships if enough is spent on development. Idea can be extended further of course, what do you think?

Also maybe in case you have a station allow hiring ai pilots, guards, miners etc. Who might be set to mine stuff and bring it back and optionally escorted. Limitations maybe that this would continually need investment, national taxes? So having something like that doesn't secure your welth for the rest of the game. What do you think?

I would love that so much !

Let's say you buy a space station and some sector space (to your government). First you have to empty this sector of its infestation of bots (12 or so bots to chase and destroy, for fairness make those bots harder with the value of the asteroids that cllutter the sector, or don't and let players assign value to sectors through resale and auctions), second you have to move the station's parts there, then wait for the station to be finally assembled (while fending off pesky bots who try to return ?).

Then it would be just like any other station, except you'd have to perhaps resupply it with ships and parts and goods (in exchange for constant revenue). That would keep some players busy.

But what about missions available there ? This is certainly an ambitious proposition.

Well, if its your station, you can set missions yourself and pay reward out of your pocket. It really would be very cool :) and is ambitios :|

I really like the idea of user-owned bots. I think it's a fantastic idea.
